Nice suite, I know the listing says it, but cannot emphasis enough how ******* loud that train is, you will wake up in a cold sweat, ear plugs and white noise be damned

This is a very nice place to stay if you are attending or hosting an event in the downstairs venue; however, if there is an event downstairs it will be LOUD until it’s over …. 1 am.The train is also very loud but tolerable if you sleep well …. There is a sound machine and ear plugs.

Family visit/HS Reunion

Everything was really nice, only issue was the door lock (but the owner was very quick to help us fix it!), and the trains from midnight to 4 am :( felt like we were in the movie “My Cousin Vinny” and with that first few trains my husband and I laughed hysterically. Had to go get some grits for break! The owner did leave notice about noice and ear plugs for light sleepers. It was very thoughtful and otherwise very comfortable thank you!

It's really an ideal event space and rental, but our family stayed for local graduation and it was comfortable and convenient. Would definitely stay again!

Great house for Family celebration

The house is beautiful and the property very private, despite being so close to downtown Orange, VA. Old world styling (high ceilings, hardwood floors) and some modern/European touches in the bathrooms. Never even used the third floor, which seems a great playroom for kids.

Charming and Fun

Boxwood Villa is a beautiful property. Our group of 10 had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. The house is gorgeous and we walked to the Downtown area several times to visit the shops. An easy drive to Charlottesville and Gordonsville. The teenagers spent hours outside taking photographs and we bundled up in blankets and enjoyed the front porch. We will absolutely visit again.
