A beautiful french mansion, set on 4 acres amongst Cognac vines and sunflowers

A welcoming comfortable Maison de Maître tastefully renovated keeping the French style mixed with a touch of modern. The house sits on 4 acres within the French countryside north of Bordeaux surrounded by Cognac vines and sunflowers and we have recently been given 4 stars with Charente Tourisme.
There is plenty of space both inside and out of the house for a large family or several couples. The bedrooms are light and airy and all have an en-suite bathroom. The welcoming entrance and hall lead you to a lovely spacious and bright kitchen, which you will love cooking and eating in, next to the kitchen is a large lounge. Outside and through the french doors from the kitchen, there is a sunny terrace with great views of the countryside and slightly away from the house there is a beautiful blue swimming pool. A perfect space with all the ingredients for a lovely holiday.

We have been renovating the house since 2016, adding bedrooms and bathrooms, a large kitchen that captures the sun at the back of the house and a swimming pool. We have both spent time in hospitality, which is how we met many years ago. Andy has been a Chef all his life, more recently running a pub with a restaurant for ten years until we moved to France.

Why they chose this property

The house is sat within 4 acres surrounded by vines and the french countryside. Inside and out, there is loads of space to relax and play. The house is geared up for 8 adults, plus some tiny people if they want to share the bedrooms, we have cots or single 'put-up' beds. The house will easily accommodate two families and has a downstairs room if you wish to bring the grandparents, or a person who needs easier access. We have window locks, stair gates and high chairs for the tiny people.

What makes this property unique

The renovation has resulted in a modern house with a touch of french. We think you will enjoy the style of the house and really feel you are on holiday. The high ceilings give a sense of space and calm and all the windows look out onto views of the grounds or the vines. The unique weather climate allows plenty of eating outside and time in the pool. Finally, if you would like the services of a Chef whilst you are here, we are happy to discuss this as an option and really allow you to put up your feet.
