Laines Loft - cosy flat in the centre of The Laines, with private sun terrace
My apartment is super cosy and welcoming.
Split over 2 floors, it's a conversion of an old pub, with carpets and rugs over wooden flooring & double glazed sash windows. The terrace with table is perfect for morning coffee, dinner or sitting and reading in the egg chair.
Located right in Brighton's North Laines, there are cafe's, coffee shops and pubs on your doorstep. It's a little haven away from the hustle and bustle. And only a 5 minute walk to Brighton Pavilion,10 minutes to the pier and sea front, 2 minutes to Brighton station.
It's super cosy and comfy, with everything you need.
- no parties please my flat is in a nice residential area - parking is can be an issue in Brighton as it isn't very car friendly, but my flat is only a couple of minutes walk from Brighton mainline train station and buses and I have a limited amount of parking passes in case it's essential to drive (do drop me a message to check I have some left).

Loved staying at this little flat in Brighton Very comfortable and so close to the train station and lots of shops. Wish the weather had been nice enough to use the terrace! Owner was very responsive about questions etc. Recommend.
Really enjoyed our 3-day stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Nicely appointed kitchen. FANTASTIC patio!!!! Perfect location for train, pubs, shops. Lower level is a bit tight, especially the bedroom (but it is an old building in the city) Great communications from host… very responsive. Would, for sure, stay here again.

Thanks so much Bob, so pleased you both had such a great stay. Thanks for the glowing review :-) Hope to welcome you back soon
This is a fantastic little property right in the centre of Brighton. Every thing is right on the doorstep so you don't have far to go when exploring. The rooftop seating area was ideal for the long sunny nights. I would recommend staying to one one.

We loved our stay in this adorable little flat on historic Kemp Street in Brighton. The owner provided a wonderful written history of the building dating back to the 1840's. The outdoor terrace was a plus. I loved sitting at the window looking down on Kemp Street while I sipped my Nespresso coffee each morning. The owner was very quick to answer the questions I had leading up to our stay. One thing to note was that access to the flat was up a flight of narrow stairs. We managed them just fine but those with mobility issues (or lots of heavy suitcases) may want to consider that before booking. Wonderful property!

Brilliant location!
Fabulous situation in the middle of The Laines and close to railway station. Parking a nightmare as owner couldn't obtain day passes, which I would happily pay for. Compact, but has a lovely little roof terrace, which was a bonus. Don't plan to sleep on the sofa bed in the lounge. Pretty knackered and uncomfortable, although fine as a sofa. It wasn't unclean but cleaners obviously don't move rugs and the shower curtain was mouldy. All in all, good value and a lovely spot to stay.

Thanks Karen, so glad you loved the location and flat :-)
Yes as advised am afraid Brighton isn't a very car friendly city, so it is always better to get the train or park further away and get the bus / taxi in. But yes am happily very close to Brighton Station.
As a booking for 2 people I assumed just the main bedroom would be used, but yes the sofa bed was the only one I could fit in the nook of the wall in the lounge, I've found it good for me for a couple of nights (but that's why I don't rent the flat out for 4 people, only 3). The main bedroom is always the most comfy.
Hope to welcome you back again
All the best

About the host
Hosted by Olivia.
I live abroad most the time, but love staying in my flat when am in the country, it has such a nice vibe and is right by The Laines amazing coffee shops, cafe's and independent clothes shops.
My flat is managed by a professional company who do the housekeeping and organise check in and check out (via a key safe), but I coordinate with them and am always available on message for any questions or help needed.
Why they chose this property
The flat has such a cosy and nice feeling about it, as soon as you step in from Brighton's Laines, all the coffee shops, pubs and little shops, you feel at home.
I did a lot to the flat when I first bought it, added carpet in the bedroom and up the stairs. Re-did the decking and painted walls etc. I pride myself on keeping the flat in great condition, do DIY myself when I can and get people in for the big jobs.
I looked into the history of the building when I bought the place as well, and created a couple of plaques which are hanging in the kitchen which you may like to read. The building was once a pub called The Camden Arms, and the last record of the pub landlord I could find, was actually the 1st manager of Brighton and Hove Albion football club, so a great bit of local history.
What makes this property unique
The private terrace is such a treat. Great for mornings, or afternoon sun, and lets so much light into the flat. It's top (2nd floor) so not looked over, but you can see the different colour painted houses below.
