Would only suggest,if possible,a shower was added to groundfloor bathroom for guests with mobility issues as stairs were an issue for one of our party.Otherwise, lovely accommodation.

A comfortable well appointed property which met all our requirements.

Attractively situated in a pictureque environment which was quiet and restful. The cottage was very well equipped. A nice touch was the welcoming gift of milk . Very happy with everything.

Great location and close to ferry

This property is in a good location close to the ferry terminal which is around 2 miles away. It is quite small but ideal for a couple, it does sleep 4 but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are only using it to sleep, there are no wardrobes and very little hanging space. Hot water is very limited so if you like a bath you'll get 2 inches of hot water and that's it, the shower upstairs is electric so no issues there. The location is quiet however there is quite a bit of noise from the kids at little Canada on occasions but if you're out all day then no problem, the noise tends to quieten down by 9pm. The road to the property is very uneven so drive slowly. Less than a mile away is a Tesco express, Chinese takeaway, Indian takeaway and fish and chips, we only used the Indian called balti king which was nice and they deliver for 99p. The Sloop inn, also less than a mile away is good and does carvery everyday but remember to input your cars reg number on the machine just inside the pub. I have mobility issues but found no problem with the property and the road to the businesses mentioned is flat. If you have a dog there is a small garden round the back which is grassed or you can walk about around the front of the property which overlooks the creek. Plenty of pots, pans, glasses and cutlery etc and everything easy to use. There is no washing machine but this didn't bother us. Plenty of tea, coffee and a small milk was left as well as a packet of biscuits. Beds were comfortable for us but everyone is different, think they were foam mattresses but not memory foam, upstairs bedroom gets very warm and is very light first thing in the morning, there is a fan at the property, downstairs bedroom is a lot cooler. Overall a nice little property in a convenient location.

A pleasant stay in the IoW

No washing machine which is unbelievable nowadays. Nearest launderette in Ryde 15 minutes away by car No dishwasher either but that's not as bad The bath downstairs: just 2 taps, can't have a shower or rinse properly A very high step to get into the shower upstairs No partition between eiybie room upstairs and kitchen underneath: smells, noise But on the whole pleasant property with a nice view and the possibility to sit outside

8/10 Good

Very conveniently situated property, ideal for exploring the island

Nice little property in a quiet situation.. Extremely convenient for Fishbourne ferry and travel to explore all parts of the island. For a 10 day stay, I was disappointed there was no washing machine, particularly as the nearby laundrette mentioned in the adverts is now closed, but I did make the booking knowing there was no machine (expecting the laundrette) Other facilities were fine and the kitchen was well equipped. The only issue I would draw attention to is the shower cubicle in the en suite, which was quite a high step to get into and could prove very difficult/ impossible for an older person or someone with mobility problems. I am not very tall and really struggled to get in. A grab rail would help, as would a non slip shower mat. The downstairs bathroom would benefit from a shower attachment. Property was nicely decorated and furnished, but storage for the downstairs bedroom consisted of a very short hanging rail. There were plenty of housekeeping items, such as loo rolls, liquid soaps, washing up materials and the small selection of welcome items was a nice touch.

Villa 23 Sept 2022

Well equipped with some nice decorative touches. However, it was very cramped - and there were just two of us. Dining facilities inadequate. Shower unit leaked and extractor fan didn't work. No recycling facilities. Useful information about places to visit, but all events listed were for 2021. No information about how to work appliances. Glorious view over the creek, but no access possible. Wouldn't return.

Nice villa, lovely views

We loved the villa and the location. Unfortunately there is no access to the creek which was disappointing and the only walks were along the road. There is a big childrens' centre next door so very noisy during the day, not peaceful at all. The villa was basically clean except for the downstairs bathroom which had hair on the floor and stuck to the pedestals and a huge spider web in the lounge. The lounge furniture smelt so bad but luckily we didn't have to use it as the weather was good and we sat on the porch. The porch could have done with some shade. Kitchen well equipped and the beds were comfy.
