The apartment was perfectly located and had everything we needed to enjoy all that Palermo has to offer. Our host Colagero was lovely and kind and helped us throughout our stay with anything we could need. We hope to return some day!
Amazing! The location is perfect, the apartment is spotless, tasteful and comfortable. Calogero is an amazing host who knows all about Sicily. His English is great! We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay!!
We stayed for 16 days while attending the Italian school close by. The apartment is very spacious and provided us with everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable.Apartment is centrally located near many good restaurants and the major tourist attractions are within walking distance. The host arranged for our pickup from the airport on arrival and delivery to the train station at the end of the stay. An all-round good experience.

Our host was excellent and so helpful, he gave us lots of tips for local restaurants and getting around. The flat is in a fantastic location, it’s spacious and well heated, which we were very grateful for, as weather was not the best. The kitchen is well equipped, also the separate utility room. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay and would happily return.
We so enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment! There were four of us and we had plenty of room. The place was bright, cheerful, clean and quiet. The temperature inside, as well as the beds were comfortable The location was perfect. We were within walking distance from the city center and the sea. We really enjoyed meeting our host, as he is extremely warm and caring. He provided us with a map of interesting places to visit and a list of restaurants to eat at. None of our other rentals on this trip did this for us. We had a question during the evening and contacted our host. He replied with an answer for us right away. Lastly, we felt like we were staying in a home rather than a rental property.
Calogero’s apartment was perfect for us! Plenty of space, close to everything, and very convenient. Cafe right downstairs and several small markets nearby. Calogero was always available and helpful, even able to help us arrange a ride to the airport. Would definitely stay here again!
Fabulous apartment in central location walking distance to sites, markets, and marina. Host was terrific and provided details on neighborhood which added immensely to our stay. 100% recommend!
We were only there for one night but we really enjoyed meeting our host and learning about some of the beautiful furnishings in the apartment. The location was good, and it was very spacious.
Beautiful apartment in a great location to see all Palermo has to offer.
Calogero welcomed us with open arms !

Our stay at Palermo Old Style was thoroughly enjoyable. The apartment was spacious, clean, and full of charm. As a group of four, we found it comfortable and well-suited to our needs. The neighborhood felt safe, allowing us to explore the centro storico with ease. The café downstairs served excellent coffee and fresh pastries—among the best we tasted in town. However, what truly made our stay memorable was Calogero. His warm hospitality and genuine enthusiasm for Palermo elevated the entire experience.
Calogero is an incredibly warm person. Not only was he always available to answer questions, he also gave us lots of tips. What is worth visiting or where are good and cheap restaurants with local cuisine. The apartment matches the description. Everything was also very clean and well maintained. We would love to come back!!!!!
We highly recommend this listing - it’s in a great location that is walkable to all the sites. Calogero is incredible - he is so nice and gave us excellent recommendations for the sites and restaurants. He also helped us park the car every time we took the car out due to the small parking spot. The kitchen is well stocked and the apartment was clean and comfortable and as described in the listing. We highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Palermo.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Onsite and secure parking was a plus. So was the elevator! The pictures were accurate. The kitchen was well equipped. Beds comfortable. Plenty of hot water and….an excellent location. The host was very charming and helpful. Communication was easy!
Excellent location!!The host was so accommodating, informative and helpful. The apartment was clean, spacious and very well located. We had rented a Tranport Van (9 person) and the host saved a parking space for us upon arrival.Thank you so much!!!!
The apartment was clean and spacious, very comfortable, and very well located. Calogero was so friendly and helpful, gave suggestions for delicious restaurants nearby, walks to take, and things to see. He was very responsive and quickly took care of an issue with the door lock. We will happily stay here again if we return to Palermo!
The apartment was large, had everything we needed also really good air con. Calagero was Super friendly, knowledgeable, cares about his guests and them having the best time they can during their stay. He Took time to talk us through local places to visit, we felt we were in very safe hands. The apartment was really close to the city centre and lots of restaurants. Honestly I would give Calagero 10 out of 10 and want to say a big thank you for being so thoughtful and helpful. We also took the train to the beach and had a day on a catamaran, both fab days. One day we will go back for longer
We loved our stay at this apartment. It's exactly as advertised: comfortable, clean, quiet and you can reach everywhere on foot. Calogero is a wonderful host. He's very helpful and has loads of amazing tips about local rstaurants and shops. We couldn't make it through his entire list of recommendations but there's always next time. Thank you so much, Calogero, for this wonderful experience. We won't forget it.wonderful time!!
We stayed in Calogero's spacious apartment for 2 nights and couldn't have been more pleased. The listing was as described. Apartment was very clean and spacious, located on a quiet street, and within walking distance of many attractions. Calogero was very accommodating and helpful to answer our questions in a timely manner. Overall great experience and would book again.
My spouse and I have been to Palermo numerous times but this was outstanding. Condo is well located to walk to Teatro Massimo and the old city or to the new port area. The host was responsive immediately with recommendations and local information. When our triple confirmed ride to the train station canceled, the host drove us in his own car. 5 stars? No — 15!
We had a fantastic time staying at Calegero’s apartment in the city! It’s very centrally located and well-appointed for a family with kids. There is a coffee bar downstairs that makes excellent cornetto & cafes, nearby grocery stores, fruit stands, and everything is within easy walking distance. Calegero even showed us how to make coffee in a moka pot - our first time - and now we’ve become fans! :)Calegero was very communicative, offering to pick us up and drop off at the airport - even providing a booster seat for our 5 year old to ride in. He also provided some great restaurant suggestions, all of which proved to be good! The home provided plenty of room for us to spread out and the beds comfortable (although on the firm side). I do wish there would have been some fans to promote more of a cross breeze within the home but we were ultimately quite comfortable without them (in late-April). We did not have need for the AC.I would definitely recommend this place to families looking for a comfortable place to land and explore Palermo from.
My wife and I stayed in this apartment for 5 nights and loved everything about it. It’s in a residential neighborhood and yet a short walk to most things we wanted to explore. The host, Colagero, is a native of Palermo and is a superb resource if you want to find out where to go, where to eat, etc. He and his wife are journalists who have a deep interest in their city as a “crossroads of cultures.” I’ve never had a host from whom I learned so much, and who was such a charming person to talk to. The apartment has everything you need, including a lovely kitchen, and there are bakeries, salumerias and fine restaurants very close to it. We walked to two of the historic markets — Capo and Ballarò — and strongly recommend you check them out. They go back to the times of the Arabic open-air markets and retain much of that lively culture. Exceptional food in Palermo’s many restaurants, great wine, and the churches, piazzas, and palazzos are all worth visiting more than once. I cannot recommend this place, this host, and this city strongly enough. We are back in NYC now but are already planning to be back.
My husband and I stayed in Calogero’s rental apartment for 10 days in March ‘25. The apartment is in an excellent location to walk to Theatro Massimo, Capo Market, Quattro Canti, and a little further, the Cathedral and Palazzo Reale. It is situated close to La Cala as well. It is exactly as described. It was nice to have the two full bathrooms. The apartment is very large. The bed was comfortable and the linens good quality. The second bed is in a living area, but separated by a curtain. We did most of our hanging out in the kitchen, which has a sofa, or on the balcony - having our morning Bialetti café, afternoon Spritz and evening meal. The kitchen is large and the extractor fan and lights worked! Nice gas hob. Happy plates :) Good sized fridge. But, most amazing of all is Calogero. A truly amazing host. He actually took us on a little walk around the neighbourhood to introduce us to the butcher, show us the vegetable stall, local coffee roaster, enoteca and where to buy pizza and roasted chickens. I had needed some pants hemmed and he physically took me to the seamstress and translated for me! We parked on the street initially, but then decided to rent the parking spot Calogero had on offer. Parking and driving in Palermo is not for the faint of heart. The rented parking spot was very close and safe. We had an Opel Corsa and it fit. A larger car may not have. I highly recommend Calogero and his apartment. I would not hesitate to stay again. Stay well! Thanks

thank you for the beautiful words. Guests are like old family friends to me. I do everything necessary to make them feel at home and experience Palermo in the same way as the locals. I like to provide all the information to experience Palermo, also knowing the restaurants, pastry shops and wine shops with the best price/quality ratio. I hope to see you again soon!
