Stayed at holburn house a couple of times ,stayed January last year and loved it .

Stayed at holburn house a couple of times ,stayed January last year and loved it .Got a pleasant suprise to see a whole new makeover everything was so new and clean .I booked before because I do love a log burner and the times we go the lake district it’s always Jan Feb and after a days walking there’s nothing better to come in to a cosy fire but it was not working properly we went through 3 bags of logs and we’re still cold even with the heating on high so we ended up watching Tv in bed but even that was a mission as we could hardly get any channels .All the new gadgets in the kitchen are lovely but no manuel how to use them only old manuels for the old appliances,so did put a bit of a dampener on our stay.
