Boasting other-worldly sea views, a gorgeous coast-inspired interior and ample space for unwinding in, the living and sleeping areas are quite simply sensational, with tactile soft furnishings and sumptuous decor playing second fiddle only to the staggering vistas that frame nearly every room. Beautifully designed to create sociable spaces for converging in as well as sanctuaries to retreat to, the property’s layout flows between two floors, with the open plan living /cooking and entertainment area being upstairs, and two elegant bedrooms (both of which are en-suite) being found on the ground floor.
Light and airy, the living room boasts sliding doors which open to a fantastic Juliet balcony, and it’s here that guests can unwind in blissful relaxation on two stylish sofas to enjoy an exclusive vantage point over the beach and waves. A contemporary kitchen with its island (which doubles as a breakfast bar) means morning coffees and dinner preparations are a sociable affair; and for warmer evenings when the Cornish sun sets in all its splendour on the horizon, there’s a stunning furnished courtyard where fresh-air dining and evening drinks can be shared.
Downstairs, the master bedroom is a dream, with sliding doors opening out to another Juliet balcony that overlooks the sea, and the super king size bed with its luxurious linens making the perfect place to indulge in long morning lie-ins or afternoon nap. The second bedroom is also generously proportioned and beautifully furnished, with its zip and lock twin beds offering versatility to suit families with children of all ages, as well as couples and friends.
Situated on The Terrace within a stone’s throw from the heart of St Ives, 3 Porthminster Mews is just a two-minute walk from the town’s culture-packed streets which meander past boutique shops and artisan eateries down to its postcard-worthy harbour. The white sands of the Blue Flag Porthminster beach are moments away, and with its award-winning café, beachside facilities and clear waters, it’s easy to see why it’s been rated by visitors and locals alike as one of the top three beaches in the UK. Coastal walks abound in the area so for a slightly more energetic days as well as incredible coastal views, guests can wander the scenic South West Coast path from Porthminster Beach to Porthminster Point and on to Carbis Bay. Good Housekeeping Bond We ask our guests for a £100 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

5th time here!
This is our 5th time in this beautiful apartment. It’s always clean with a few home comforts. The agency are quick to respond with any queries. The apartment itself is very spacious and the views of Porthminster Beach are breath

A beautiful accommodation
Every room in the mews is absolutely stunning. Very spacious. A very well equipped kitchen and to sit looking out over the beach with the doors open was just amazing.
It’s an easy walk to St Ives town centre yet out of the hustle bustle
We used the bar over the road at the Harbour Hotel for early evening drinks. The staff there were lovely and very accommodating.
The Mews is ideally located opposite the beach for an early morning dip! and opposite the Railway Station, so we jumped on the train to Penzance to do some nice walks from there.
It’s also well located for the coastal path. And the walk to Carbis Bay is lovely.
All in all we had a fabulous stay. We definitely will be back and I’d recommend this property in a heartbeat.
Top notch accommodation with parking and walking distance (5 mins) of beach and (7 mins) St Ives central. Gutted no availability in Feb half term or Easter break next year. We will be back!

❤️ Porthminster
Great location - will never forget that view main bedroom is beaut the bed is sooo comfy!! Just a shame the fridge didn’t keep items very cold and the en suite to the main bedroom had a bit of a smell to it but apart from that take me back - love St Ives ❤️ it has a piece of my heart can’t wait to go back!!

Great location
Great location in St Ives, fabulous views of the beach and sea.
Accommodation was good but tired in places.
Noisy main road - especially early morning.
Spa passes and hotel discount was a welcome addition.
Good customer experience.
Nearly 5* - just a few tweaks and updates needed.

Very noisy but a nice place
We found it very very noisy when we had the windows open but the accommodation was exactly as described and had all we needed for our stay. It was very clean and well appointed. It was a bit more of a walk into the town centre than we’d anticipated and as someone with problems with mobility and distance we had to work around that. We love st Ives and had a very enjoyable stay nonetheless

I highly recommend that you install shower bars and bathroom floor mats. One guest fell on the slick floor and suffered a bruised sternum. It would have been nice to have had some soap and toilet paper. The two Teflon pans are peeling and need replaced. Despite this, I gave five stars because the views are gorgeous, the location incredible, and the passes to the Harbor Hotel next door enhanced the experience. Thank you!

Great views but very noisy
Lovely sea view from the living room and master bedroom windows. The apartment is located between two busy roads though, so it is extremely noisy especially when you have the windows open. This was mentioned prior to booking though; but we just didn’t expect the noise to be quite so bad. It’s probably ok if you’re a couple staying at this property, but not ideal if you have a small child who is sensitive to noise. You’re also directly opposite the harbour hotel terrace and bar, so it can get noisy with people talking/shouting/music being played until about midnight.
The apartment in general was actually quite dirty. Sticky stair rails, dirty pots and pans, clumps of dust in bathroom, brown water stains on bathroom walls/doors, brown stains on bedside tables. There was a food clip on the window sill by the kitchen sink which had spider webs all around it - so clearly it has not been moved for quite some time. There were also old fruit in the fruit bowl and old cartons of milk and food in the fridge which I assume was from the previous occupants.
The bed was not comfortable at all. It was two beds joined together to make one king bed. I could also feel every single spring digging into my body. It was a miserable week as I was tired and could not get any decent sleep - combination of uncomfortable bed and also my toddler not being able to sleep due to the noise.
The location is convenient, very close to town and actually not too bad a walk with a toddler and being heavily pregnant as well.
Having a parking space was convenient, however you have to be careful if you have a car that’s very low to the ground because you might end up scraping the underside as you join the main road.
