About this property
Gonfalone Residence Vittoria
Vittoria means "victory", so this apartment won’t take no as an answer.
This 50 m² one bedroom listing has capacity for 4 people and leaves no room for deceit. Triumphant and victorious the lounge area, with a comfortable sofa bed, is outlined by large windows that let in all the oranges and reds of Rome in the November sunshine after the rain.
This listing is extremely central and well connected. It’s located in the heart of the gourmet district, happening to be within 500m of 3-star Michelin restaurants (Per Me, Pipero, Il Pagliaccio), not to mention other local favourites such as Pierluigi and Il Goccetto.
Nespresso Machine, super-fast wifi, Smart Tv, AC, self-check- in, central heating, on a quiet reserved street yet minutes away from bustling Campo de Fiori and Trastevere area.
Vittoria will share the fame with another famous lady of Rome, Giulia. The street on which the apartment is located is just off Via Giulia, one of the most beautiful streets in Rome. Vittoria is the noun we’ve all heard in our favourite Italian movies of the past and present, so why not come experience Vittoria first hand.

It's all about the location. Wow! There is no better place to stay in Rome. Walking distance to all the sights. Great restaurants just around the corner.
Very, very comfortable bed. Clean place. So great to have a washing machine and dryer.
And the host was more than welcoming. Replied within a very short period of time when I had questions, made everything possible I have requested for, even arranged a driver picking me up and driving me to the airport. Couldn't have wished for more.
Highly recommended and would stay there always again.
P.S. I have been travelling on my own and that was great. For a longer stay and more than two people, storage space is limited. Keep that in mind when you travel with a lot of luggage.

The Good
• Neighborhood very residential and close to many good cafes and good trattorias. We ate several times close to home.
• Vatican, Piazza de Compo, good shopping all very walkable (15 minutes or less).
• Apartment was clean and settled upon arrival and access procedures easy to follow.
• Two bathrooms and two showers (one up and one down) are good but both relatively small.
The Not-So- Good
• Lift out of service – currently used as a storage area, inside of lift. Apartment access (3rd floor) after two and a half flights of stairs.
• Front window right side (looking out) large crack from bottom to top.
• Living room couch worn and old (I had a better couch in college 40 years ago). Bed linens need to be replaced, quite worn also. These items need to be replaced as this is a decent apartment, but poorly stocked.
• Bedroom is in the Loft, and the ceiling is slanted so foot of bed to ceiling was about 4 feet. Difficult at night to navigate passage from left side of bed to bathroom.
We had some issues accessing the room as the code didn't work and the emergency number was in Italian and we couldnt understand it. We eventually managed to get in touch with staff after messaging VRBO. The office had been closed for lunch but they came soon after to let us into the room. The room was atill being cleaned close to 3pm although check-in time was 2pm. So we had to wait for the maid to finish. Something broke on the front door meaning we were locked in! But staff sorted this out quickly. After the initial set of mishaps things were good thereafter. The accommodation is nice and well equipped and in a great location. The master bed was very hard so we didnt sleep very well. The ensuite shower upstairs is tiny! We couldn't get the gas hob to work but ate out for most meals. The property was quiet and handy for exploeing the city. We had a nice time overall.
