Stunning Cottage in West Alvington near Salcombe

Unwind and recharge at this wonderful, quaint cottage. Built in the 1850s, it has been in our family for over 20 years and holds many fond memories.

The cottage has been lovingly renovated with comfort and quality in mind. You can enjoy original floorboards upstairs, and exposed stone staircase and fireplace on the ground floor. A mix of contemporary and antique details can be found, for a luxurious yet charming feel.

Peaceful retreat

We enjoyed coming back to this comfortable cottage after long days on the coast path. Everything we needed was there and Joanna was a really helpful host. We loved the doggie basket on arrival! Great house to stay in.

Lovely Cottage

I booked this cottage for our family of 4 to use as a base for exploring South Devon and I found it to be perfect for this. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and furnished to a high standard throughout. The village it is located in is very quiet although there is a pub should this be required. The town of Kingsbridge is within walking distance via an enclosed path should you require more facilities. I wouldn't recommend the cottage for anyone with very young children as the stairs are very steep and narrow and twist around an open side. That said, my youngest (7 yr old) managed fine. The host is very helpful and dealt with a minor safety concern very swiftly and without fuss. It has a lovely enclosed garden to the side with a bigger communal garden found via a small path if the kids need a bigger safe space to play. We did not want for anything in the cottage as it has all you require for a weeks stay. All in all, very recommended and at a fair price. Dave
