Enchanting two bedroom beach cottage with breathtaking 180 degree ocean view overlooking the quaint historic district of Old Encinitas and Swami's surf. Enjoy a glass of wine on the impressive large wrap-around deck or in the private charming courtyard entry. Savor a morning cup of coffee overlooking the Pacific Ocean, sunbathe on the massive deck by day, and enjoy cocktails while barbecuing to gorgeous sunsets.

This delightful light-filled space boasts a beautifully remodeled gourmet kitchen, with stainless steel appliances, remodeled bath, two bedrooms, hardwood floors, two sets french doors, off-street parking on driveway, washer/dryer, dishwasher. A view from every room in the house! Very quiet, peaceful and serene setting. Amazing ocean breezes.

Encinitas is known for it's mild climate, sunny skies and eclectic spiritual community. Walk in just minutes to Moonlight beach, Swami's surf, the famous Paramanhansa Yogananda's SRF Meditation Gardens, or one of the many yoga studios just down the hill. Also within minutes walking is the historic 101 Old Encinitas shops and restaurants, coffee joints, salons, bars, movie theatre, train station and more. Ideal location- only 10 minute drive to Del Mar Racetrack, 5 minute drive to Quail Botanical Gardens, and 5 minute drive to La Costa Resort and Spa tennis and golf. Located only a few minutes from both the freeway and the train station, it is easy access to many of San Diego's great attractions including LEGOLAND, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park. Truly a piece of paradise! A must see! Please note no pets, no smoking, and we ask that noise be kept to a minimum out of respect for the quiet neighborhood.

Rejuvenating Vacation

This location is just a walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops with many healthy options. The neighborhood is quiet yet near everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The view is great with a beautiful sunset. We plan on coming back because this is the best place we have stayed in CA.

Love your cottage by the sea

We enjoyed our three night stay. We happened to be there during the annual April festival and enjoyed the live music coming up from the festival which we could hear from the deck. We enjoyed the sunshine and ocean views. The sunsets were special! We have a condo in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and always enjoy staying in other condos around the USA to see how we can make ours more accommodating. Thanks for letting us check in a bit early.

Bright, beautiful house with gorgeous view

We loved our stay at this classic Encinitas beach cottage. We're locals that had to be out of our house for a few days, and so having a quiet, beautiful, and comfortable place in one of the most iconic Encinitas neighborhoods was such a relief. Check in was easy, our hosts were gracious enough to let us check in early, and the house was spotless. Beautiful view, quiet street, and easy access to all the fun on the 101 and local beaches. We very much recommend.

Stunning Panoramic Ocean Views

Spot on with description. Large decking areas with comfortable loungers and bar style seating, perfect for watching the most amazing sunsets. Property had everything you need. Very homely & comfortable. Great location. Wide range of restaurants close at hand. Walking distance to train station and public transport. Just a 2 min drive from I5. Having stayed in Solana Beach and Carlsbad on previous trips to San Diego, Encinitas is my new favourite destination 😊 would definitely book accommodation again.

Fun beach house with beautiful views.

Well appointed and fun place to stay. Internet and TV worked great. Only comment which hopefully would be helpful to others is that for anyone planning to walk into Encinitas, the walk to main drag and to beach is 20 or so minutes going, and walk back to house is uphill. So need to plan that may want to drive to most restaurants and beach. But overall a great experience.

Great Beach Bungalow in the BEST N. San Diego Beach Town, Encinitas

We traveled from Calgary, AB but used to live in N. County San Diego, so we were familiar with the excellent location of this home. It's located in a trendy, local-favorite beach town, Encinitas. If you're searching for an authentic Southern California surf town vibe, Encinitas is one of the best. The famous surf spot and beach, Swami's, is located within walking distance of the home. The home is located in a great neighbourhood with a 2 million dollar view (literally). Encinitas has a small town, laid-back feel with great restaurants and shopping. If you're visiting to do the touristy-things (Legoland, La Jolla, Zoo, Sea World, etc.) everything is still easily accessible from the I-5 and anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes away. We are a family of 4, so the two queen beds worked great. The beds were extremely comfortable and the home had all of the amenities we needed, including lots of seating, inside and out. We appreciated the washing machine and dryer and used it quite a bit during our 9 night stay. A hint to those not familiar with the ocean temps there, if you're visiting outside of the months of June - Sept, bring or rent wetsuits. Our trip was in late March, and we spent hours at a time in the water, thanks to our wetsuits. It wouldn't have been that way had we not had them. We brought ours from Canada and bought our 9 year old daughter hers at Hansen's Surf Shop in Encinitas when we arrived. The hosts and owners of the home were great to deal with and always quick to respond. We had a last-minute special request which they graciously accommodated. Thank you again Lauri for that! Ocean view property

When deciding to rent property the pictures provided did a great job but with pictures not always possible to determine scale. A floor plan would always help. That being sad, the Happy Place, lived up to expectations and actually exceed them. Very quiet neighborhood, occasional commuter trains going along the coast. If your looking for ocean view and a pleasant place to enjoy family and friends in a very nice safe beach town and neighborhood A+

Welcome to our little piece of paradise! This was our very first home in the San Diego area. We were visiting from Northern California and absolutely fell in love with North County, and particularly Old Encinitas. The mild climate, sunny skies and beautiful beaches pulled us in.
We were beyond thrilled when we found this place, as it is one of the few homes that can truly boast a full 180 degree view, corner lot, top of the hill.
This home truly has a magical feel to it- maybe it's the ocean views, or the way the light brightly fills the space, but the home seems to have a special energy of it's own. We have always said it is a "happy" house. If it weren't for a growing family and more need of space we would definitely still be living there!
We are delighted to share this special space with you and hope you enjoy our home as much as we have.

What makes this property unique

With such stunning views the details of the house may seem obsolete, yet there is such a charm and quaintness to this home that draws you in. We fell in love as we first entered the private serene courtyard before we even saw the view. As you enter the home immediately the ocean view entices- but is framed by the quaintest arched ceilings and French doors. All of the windows are original and charmingly swing open. One of the things that struck us the most was the way the light filled the space- it seems as if every square inch is warmed by the light. No darkness, no shadows. And the way the ocean breeze blows through the house... amazing. It feels as if you are outdoors even when inside. It is a place that will soon become your favorite- a must return!
