Sunny And Quiet Villa With Pool And Amazing Mountain Views

Can Guixa is a typical Soller country house, surrounded by orange and lemon groves. The house has been totally reformed and offers: on the ground floor a nice entrance hall, spacious living room open onto the terrace and pool, open plan kitchen with dining area and bathroom. On the first floor there is a very nice and sunny terrace with great views, 3 twin bedrooms and a bathroom. The top floor offers 2 further bedrooms (2 double) and a bathroom. The outside space invites to sunbath by the refreshing pool and enjoy al fresco meals on the terrace or under the porch, by the BBQ. There is also a shower room.

The presence of a water treatment plant in the surroundings that can create some punctual smell if it experiences a load peak.

This house has a perfect location under the mountains, with walking distance to both Port de Soller and Soller. Perfect spot for hiking starts aswell. The house itself has a rustique vibe and is very authentic, very nice pool area and superb outside sitting area for meals, grilling etc. Big bedrooms and everything easy to use. Kitchen was well equipped compared to manu other summerhouses. All in all very good experience, don’t hesistate to book this. The host is very professional, responds quickly and is always very helpful.

Great for group

The outdoor space was beautiful - so picturesque with the pool and mountain backdrop! Be prepared that inside the house was HOT! There were plenty of fans and even a portable AC unit in the upstairs “master” bedroom but it was still very warm since we were there in the summer. There were also a lot of ants throughout the house, but the property manager said they would try to take care of that. Overall, a wonderful house and location for a group who wants to relax and go into Soller port/ town.

Great villa, pity about the pong

Excellent villa, with great facilities. It's conveniently located within walking distance of both Sóller and Port de Sóller. All the bedrooms are of a good size and there are more than enough bathrooms for a large group. The kitchen is very well equipped and easy to cook in. There is also a great outdoor bbq space. The views are magnificent and it's only a 35m drive from the airport. The only real issue is that it is located near a water treatment plant which can be very pungent at times. This wasn't made clear at the time of our booking but the villa description has now been updated so people can make an informed choice.

What a week !

Here is a review from 10 friends in Mallorca, a mix of racing bikes in the mountains, lying in the sun by the pool and good food at the outdoor BBQ. And what a party it was. Laughed a lot and really enjoyed the surrounding area, the location is perfect. The center and the harbor of Soller are close by and very pleasant. Valdemossa is also very nice and not to forget Sa Calobra, an unforgettable ride there by bike or by car. Finally, a special word of thanks to Virginia who was our source of support should anything arise or even arranged a booking in a restaurant! Always quick to respond! Great Place

The accommodation matches the pictures and was clean. Overall, the stay was really great. The villa is very large, offers a lot of space and is equipped with the essential things. The outdoor area with the pool is very beautiful and the villa is secluded (there is only one house directly behind it, which is not visible). The host was always reachable and responded in a reasonable time. You should know that there is no real air conditioning in the house, but it’s bearable with fans in any room. Also as mentioned in the description of the house there is a sewage treatment plant nearby, so it smelled from time to time a little bit, but it was really not as bad as thought. What bothered us was the ant infestation in the kitchen. We really couldn’t leave anything, even for a short time, and even the drawers were affected.

Overall a Nice Stay

This finca is located between Soller and Port de Soller right off the main road. The setting is beautiful. It is nestled amongst an orange grove. We loved swimming in the pool at the end of each day, and smelling the rosemary growing along the side of it while watching the sun set on the mountains. The smell from the water treatment plant is intermittent. When it's strong, it is very strong. We found that it was mainly a night-time problem when it occurred. The most difficult part of that was that we couldn't open the windows at night to let in cool air or use the couple of air conditioners that were supplied. So if was very hot sleeping. Overall, the condition of the house is good. The pictures in the listing are very accurate. We did not cook here, and only used the living room a couple of times. We had an issue with the water pump shutting off, but the property manager and owner resolved it very quickly. I have some small notes around cleaning that I might share with the property manager, but otherwise we really enjoyed the house.

A “no frills” stay.

The villa and pool are perfect for the stay being spacious, beautiful and situated in a fruit tree filled, and convenient part of town. That said, the villa is let down by the lean management. Between each guest, the villa and cupboards are cleared, and you are left with enough loo roll for a night or two, one bath towel plus one mini head towel, and hand soap in two out of four bathrooms. There are no swimming pool towels, no barbecue supplies and the cupboards are bare save for a bit of industrial floor cleaner. The dish washer does not work properly, and the dishes and glasses were not clean on our arrival. You have to equip the villa with absolutely everything, including dish washer tabs, dish soap, oil, salt & pepper, body wash, hand soap..everything, it’s an expensive start to a holiday. Unfortunately the pungent smell from the local filtration system is frequent and unforgiving and although this is in the villa description now, it was not mentioned when we booked. Under the right management, this villa could flourish (even with the smell), but it is yet to do so.

Nous avons séjourné à Sóller et avons été victimes d’une intoxication liée à la consommation d’eau du robinet. Aucune indication dans l’annonce ni dans la maison (affiche, étiquette sur les robinets, message de l’agence) ne signalait que l’eau ne devait pas être bue. Seule une note dans un carnet papier, trouvé deux jours après notre arrivée, mentionnait ce point pourtant essentiel ! Résultat : vomissements, fièvre, diarrhées sévères, consultation médicale au retour, 121,47 de frais médicaux, plus de 470 de courses gaspillées, et surtout, l'impossibilité d’assister au mariage pour lequel nous étions venus, en tant que témoins.Le propriétaire nous a répondu que "cela n'était jamais arrivé", pourtant la mention "eau non potable" a été ajoutée récemment à la main (cf. photo), preuve qu’il savait qu’un problème existait. L'agence de location a même osé dire que c’était à nous de les appeler pour savoir si l’eau était potable, une réponse inadmissible et irresponsable.Il a proposé un remboursement partiel, très insuffisant au regard du préjudice physique, moral et financier subi. Depuis, l’annonce a été modifiée pour mentionner l’eau non potable, preuve qu’il s’agissait bien d’un manquement initial grave.Abritel doit s’assurer que les annonces respectent les règles de sécurité et d’information. Cette expérience a été marquée par une négligence manifeste. Nous demandons un remboursement total du séjour et la prise en charge des frais occasionnés.

Teilweise ganz schön

Positiv: Lage, Orangengarten, Pool, Haus ist schön.Negativ: Bei Ankunft haben wir erstmal sämtliche Oberflächen und Klinken/Griffe geputzt, da diese deutlich verschmiert, dreckig und klebrig waren.Einmal waren wir einen halben Tag ohne Wasser, weder Vermieter noch Agentur waren erreichbar. Es gab keine Infomappe mit Notfallnummern.Nächsten Tag kein warmes Wasser, weil Gas für den Boiler fehlte.Wasserleckagen nach Regen. Alles bekannte uns nicht kommunizierte Probleme.Die Küchenausstattung ist nicht geeignet, um vernünftig für bis zu 10 Personen zu kochen. Es gibt kaum Kochgeschirr, das der Gruppengröße entspricht, noch die notwendigen Basics, um mehr als Nudeln mit Sauce zuzubereiten. Der Herd war lose und fiel uns mehrmals entgegen, Bleche passten nicht, das führte zu mehreren Verbrennungen. Der Geschirrspüler war verdreckt, wurde von uns gereinigt, reinigte danach trotzdem nicht vernünftig das Geschirr.Vieles (Mobiliar, Küchenausstattung) ist von minderer Qualität und hat seine besten Zeiten hinter sich. Überall ist ein deutlicher Renovierungsstau erkennbar.Der bereits in anderen Kritiken erwähnte Klärgruben-Geruch ist tatsächlich da.Die Kommunikation im Nachgang mit der Agentur, um zumindest einen Teil der nicht unerheblichen Kosten zurückzubekommen, war formal freundlich und null hilfreich. Statt Erholungsurlaub hatten wir in der Summe zwei Tage Troubleshooting und bekommen ein lapidares "aufrichtig entschuldigen" sonst nichts. Schade.

Wir möchten betonen, dass alle gemeldeten Probleme (Wasser- und Gasversorgung, Küchenausstattung) umgehend behoben wurden, sobald wir davon erfahren haben. Der Kontakt lief über unsere Notfallnummer (Xisca) sowie über WhatsApp. Das Unwetter mit starkem Regen war ein außergewöhnliches Ereignis, das leider zu vorübergehenden Undichtigkeiten führte – diese wurden bereits repariert. Auch der kurzzeitig auftretende Geruch aus der Klärgrube ist auf die Wetterbedingungen zurückzuführen. Die Küche war ausreichend ausgestattet, und zusätzliche Wünsche wurden schnell erfüllt. Unser Haus hat viele Gäste problemlos beherbergt. Wir bedauern, dass unsere Kommunikation im Nachhinein nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprach, obwohl wir stets bemüht waren, alles ernsthaft und freundlich zu klären. Wunderschöne Finca mit ausreichend Platz für 10 PersonenDie Aussicht auf die Berge und die tolle Terrasse mit Pool im duftenden Orangenhain war ein absoluter Traum.Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, die Betten bequem und Valeria hat immer sehr schnell Antwort auf alle Fragen gegeben. Schöne Aussicht!

Alles in allem hatten wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und die Raumaufteilung ist super. Es ist sehr ruhig im Haus und man stört sich n ihr gegenseitig. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist völlig ausreichend und auch gemütlich. In der Küche könnte es noch die eine oder andere Schüler vertragen damit man für 9 Leute auch alles gut zubereitet bekommt. Die Messer sind alle stumpf 😅. Leider haben sowohl Spülmaschine als auch Waschmaschine nicht wirklich funktioniert, aber wir haben die Vermieter darüber in Kenntnis gesetzt und alle waren sehr bemüht das Problem zu lösen. Vielleicht Interesse ist, dass direkt an das Haus noch ein weitere Ferienhaus ist. Das sieht man auf den Bildern des Inserats nicht. Hat aber auch nicht weiter gestört. Der Schwefelgeruch ist wirklich nicht zu überriechen, allerdings waren wir nicht jeden ganzen Tag

Un petit coin de paradis

La maison est grande, propre, bien équipée. La vue sur les montagnes depuis la terrasse est sublime. L'endroit idéal pour de bonnes vacances. Seul problème, pas spécifique à la maison mais au système d'égouts des Baléares, des remontées de mauvaise odeurs. Pas tout le temps heureusement et ça n'a pas réussi à gâcher notre séjour.

Bel endroit

La maison est très agréable et conforme à la description. L’environnement avec les orangers est joli. Seules déceptions : un peu bruyant avec la route proche qui relie Soller à Port soller et l’odeur désagréable.

Agréable séjour

Super séjour, nous avons eu un problème avec l’eau lors du séjour et le propriétaire a été très réactif (il est arrivé 5minutes) après l’avoir appelé. Séjour très agréable et logement bien placé.

Maison bien située, je recommande.

Séjour idéal à Soller dans une maison entourée d'orangeraies, offrant une vue splendide. Parfait pour les familles, l'endroit est paisible et ressourçant. Hautement recommandé!

Nice, but…

The house and the surrounding areas are really nice. However, there is an almost constant stench, possibly from a reservoir or a sewer, we had not been made aware of this. Cleaning of the house was fine but a bad rating is given because of the terrible smell.
