South Molton is a traditional and thriving market town situated just off the A361 within easy reach of the M5 and only some 12 miles or so from the regional centre of Barnstaple and 19 miles from Tiverton. The town has a pretty main square, a twice-weekly market, a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs. Keen walkers should head to Exmoor National Park which is just a 20-minute drive away and the beautiful North Devon coastline is within a 30-minute drive. To the north you have the beautiful sandy beaches at Combe Martin, Croyde and Woolacombe and a collection of pretty fishing villages and towns such as Clovelly, Lynton, Lynmouth and Porlock. To the south you have the dramatic red cliffs of Sidmouth, Beer and Branscombe with its pebbled beaches and Exmouth with its various watersports on offer.
