The steep streets of Alfama, one of Lisbon’s oldest areas, are lined with shops selling traditional crafts and cafes. Passengers pack the historic no. 28 tram, which winds through Alfama on its way up to 11th-century São Jorge Castle. Views from Miradouro da Graça terrace stretch over the city to the River Tagus. In the evening, melancholy Fado music can be heard in some of the area's long-running restaurants.

Nice spot
The balcony is nice, the kitchen is well stocked, and the location is perfect—just outside the loudest, most touristy areas, but central to everything. I really liked it here!

Centreally located standard facility
Although the apartment was located within walking distance of Alfarma and Rossio, we had to initiate contact to obtain entry details on arrival. The facilities in the apartment were not as advertised. The toilet facility was extremely restricted, the range hood was extremely noisy and the internet and TV were non existent. Despite numerous communication with Guest Ready, they assured us that a technician would rectify the issue, but was never resolved. We were staying for 5 nights and were in the middle of an extended holiday where the internet and access to news broadcasts were essential. The inability of Guess Ready to rectify the issue caused extra cost in our data. This was very disappointing.
Technically not Alfama, but Mouraria. A bit edgier so be wary. Hilly area so hard on folks with mobility challenges. The apartment is a 2 floor walk up. That said, it was clean and well appointed. The bed is quite firm but still comfy, but may not suit everyone. Space heaters on site for cooler months. Some minor issues with fixtures not working but we trust those will be resolved as we let her know. The upper terrace is a highlight. Just mind your head going up. Location is very close to where the sightseeing trams (12 and 28) start, and a short walk further to the city tour buses. The Rossi train station is also nearby so it makes a side trip to Sintra easy. There are a few mini convenience stores very close for food and beverages but we would recommend going back to Martim Moniz Square (5 minutes walk) and get things at Continente.
L' appartement est très bien situé, refait à neuf dans un vieil immeuble. Deuxième et dernier étage sans ascenseur...Les 3 stores étaient cassés, (heureusement ouverts !). Lit 160 très confortable. Très bon séjour.
