Welcome to Casa Barana!

Casa Barana is a superb, modern Tuscan-style beachfront six-bedroom villa located in the private gated community of Thompson’s Cove, directly on 135 feet of tranquil, oceanfront paradise. The West wing consists of five large ensuite bedrooms. The spacious upstairs Master suite has a bar sink, refrigerator and a patio with an outstanding ocean view. Adjacent to the master is a large bedroom with two twin beds (also convertible to a king) perfect for kids. Enjoy the peace & serenity of the huge upstairs deck area overlooking the beach as well as the entire property. The three bedrooms on the main level each have their own entrance, beautiful ensuite bathrooms and patios. The Villa's East wing consists of an ensuite bedroom, high-end kitchen, a gorgeous dining room and great room, half -bath, and laundry room off the kitchen with a back door leading to a luxurious outdoor shower. Each bedroom has satellite TV. The huge great room offers more than enough space for the entire family to gather together for drinks or to watch the big flat screen TV.

The large outdoor courtyard area has multiple seating options for families to gather and enjoy the warm sunshine by the pool & jacuzzi or a casual BBQ at the end of the day. With lush gardens and a multitude of fruit trees, the private property is surrounded by almost two acres of lovely grounds.

Enjoy lazing by the ocean on the beachfront patio. Play with the numerous beach toys or take a kayak out and discover the tranquility of the nearby cove. Go snorkeling and see a multitude of sea creatures’ right outside your doorstep. Situated close by, only a ten-minute walk down the beach is the world-famous Da Conch Shack and Shay's on the beach restaurants. Only a short walk from dining and entertainment!

After a full day, be sure to catch the sun’s finale as it sinks into the horizon of the beautiful turquoise sea!

This villa was absolutely lovely and the perfect accommodation for our group of 11, offering a fantastic balance of space for socializing and quiet solitude. The amenities are fantastic—everything from cooking supplies and beach chairs to a great swimming pool, hot tub, and two-person kayaks (we even saw turtles!). The beach nearby was also very nice. Paul and his team provided exceptional service; he was highly responsive, helpful, and ensured we felt welcome from arrival to departure. We highly recommend Virgil’s taxi service for transportation while there. We would definitely recommend this property and would absolutely return.

Amazing 50th anniversary family vacation

The villa was lovely. Enough space for each family to be together and apart when needed. Swimming pool and hot tub were great. The 2 person kayaks were a plus and we saw turtles!!

Excellent property with private beach and walking distance to Da Conch Shack. Definitely need a car to get around but location is excellent. Family of 8 with ages from 11-74. Ammenities are fantastic from cooking supplies to kayaks and beach chairs. Property manager (Paul) was highly responsive and helpful. Package of island trip planning recommendations was perfect (we used private chef and a private boat). Would definitely return.

Casa Barana was exactly what we needed, a luxurious, spacious and private place to spend time with family right on the waterfront! We had a great time. Great property to socialize as a group of 11 and easy to spend quiet time in solitude Beach was nice - accommodations for our group perfectly. Paul and his team did a wonderful job with his welcome, prompt response to any questions and at our time of departure. Would definitely recommend. Flight Of The Yellow Birds

5 couples ranging 49 to 75 years in age. All good friends from 2 different states. This is the 12th year The Yellow Birds flew together to an Island Vacation. 2 year in a row at this SPECTACULAR property, and breathtaking island. Couldn’t fit our needs any better. Amazing Girls Getaway Vacation

Casa Barana had everything we wanted and more! There were 6 of us so we each had our own bedroom. We spent most of our days at this beautiful property enjoying the private beach or pool. We used the hot tub in the evenings and walked down to the Da Conch Shack a few times. We recommend getting the Pirates Pot! We hired Private Chef Jonathan with Caicos Cuisine for a special dinner one evening. We also dined at Coco Bistro and went to the local Fish Fry on Thursday night. All were great experiences! We used Elkin's taxi service which we preferred over trying to drive ourselves. We had an amazing trip and we all agreed we'd love to come back!

This villa provided for the best Family escape from the cold northern US weather. It was very well equipped for an interesting and restful vacation. Its location provides good access to many wonderful TCI activities: airport, snorkeling, restaurants (esp. da Conch Shack, and many others), boating activities. Thanksgiving Week Vacation

We had a wonderful week, the property was well maintained and the property manager was very accommodating! The beach is private, sand is soft, and so many conch shells. The tide creates a wonderful lagoon for children of all ages to play. The living quarters is detached from the kitchen and living room which I was not aware of, however we made it work with two small kids 4 and 5 years olds. The pool doesn’t get much sun with all the foliage but the hot tub was awesome for some added warmth. The beach is literally ten steps away with lounge chairs and umbrellas and kayaks! We would highly recommend this property, our vacation was wonderful!

Amazing Casa Barana

Casa Barana is absolutely magical. Tucked in a perfect cove with the most magical of turtles, this house has the perfect island uniqueness and luxury. The staff was wonderful and helpful. From management to ever person on the property, (Dinesh, Faye, Tox, and Leo) we were accommodated and white glove services. An especially wonderful touch was a midweek call from the owner checking in, which showed the thoughtfulness of the experience. 5 Stars from my entire crew!!!!

May 15-22 Family Vacation

Casa Barana is a very well equipped, well decorated, well situated home only a short walk (50 feet) to the beach. It was perfect for our family trip including folks 8 months to 88 years old. The pool was very nice as was the beach. For snorkelers, there are a few very nice places around the point on your right as you look out from the beach. It can be a bit of a swim to get there at high tide, but you can walk most of the way there at low tide. There are 2 very nice 2 man kayaks that you can use which are a lot of fun and got used every day. The beach behind the house is good for young children as there is a rock sea wall where the trail from the house to the beach emerges. At low tide the area is almost dry, but at high tide it makes a nice pool ideal for 2 year olds to play in the water and build sand castles. We saw sea turtles every day as they are abundant. Casa Barana is on a quiet stretch of beach and doesn't have all the water sports available that are present at the resorts on Grace Bay, but it lends itself to a more peaceful stay and you can always drive up to Grace Bay for activities like parasailing and such. Paul, the property manager, lives at the guest house on site and was very helpful. He helped us jump start our rental car when someone left the lights on all night. Thanks Paul! We ate most our meals at the house as the kitchen is well equipped and the dining room is big enough to seat 12. I would highly recommend Casa Barana to anyone who has a large group, loves the beach, wants a quiet and peaceful vacation, and wants to stay in a really nice place.

Escape from our current reality

Four couples (2 Docs, 1 businessman, 1 College Coach) all needing a break with their wives after a very long year. Regular annual visitors to the Turks for obvious reasons. Have never stayed at this property before, but will do so again! The home is magnificent, private yet on the beach. The property caretakers Dawn and Paul were SOOOO attentive yet not intrusive, Jona from Island Escapes TIC may be the absolute best in her industry. And when we had an issue with contractors working on a groin (sea wall) each day ending up directly in front of the home, Dawn, Paul, Jona and the owner all stepped in and stepped up. It was not scheduled when we scheduled, and the notice was very short. We could not have been taken care of better. We will be back to the Turks again next year with another couple (add a Doc) and plan on staying again at Casa Barana. It is a marvelous home, ideal for exactly what we wanted. Escape, comfort, class, wonderful beach, all the appointments you could ask for . . . including a nice wine frig. Cheers to all of you who made our stay memorable and most excellent.

Big Group Getaway

We had 10 adults at Casa Barana and it was perfect. The place was more than big enough for all of us. Well appointed rooms & we each had our own bathroom. The kitchen was huge and we did lots of breakfasts at the house. We also used the Gas Grill and BBQ'd one night. One night we had a private chef come and cook us a lovely dinner - he found the kitchen to be very user friendly. Casa Barana's guests have their own secluded beach in Thompson Cove, with great access to some easy snorkeling. We also used the Kayaks to do some fishing out in front of the house. Casa Barana is centrally located - a quick 10-15min. drive to Grace Bay, and super close to Turtle Cove. The Island Escape crew were quick to assist us with anything we needed. Paul the house manager couldn't have been nicer. We'll be back!!

Birthday celebration in Turks and Caicos

Beautiful property located on a quiet beach in a developing area. All the amenities you need are available. The property manager is very kind and thoughtful respecting your privacy but available for anything you need. I would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to get away from it all and enjoy a bit of tropical paradise.

Thompson Cove May 2019

We had a great stay at the property. The house is absolutely beautiful and accommodated our group perfectly. The location of this house is quite central on the island and was only about 15 minutes to everywhere we wanted to go. I would highly recommend renting a car to check out the other beaches and attractions. The extra items like beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear and towels were very nice to have. We had a great stay and would rent this property again.

Great trip. Nice home, beach easily accessible and nice to have a private beach. Kayaking was super! Waters were beautiful and got to see some turtles intermittently while kayaking and swimming. Internet was spotty except for early am before about 8am and late evenings. I suspect the islands cell towers do not handle the needed capacity during the day. Overall things were great!
