The Smithy, all on the ground floor, boasts a newly fitted kitchen where you can cook up a delicious meal for you and your family after your day either sat by the River or a day exploring this beautiful corner of Scotland. Snuggle up in front of the open fire in the sitting room enjoying your favourite tipple reminiscing on your days activities. The bedrooms are comfortable and inviting with the master bedroom making the most of the fabulous views over the garden and River Bladnoch. If you just want to completely relax on fine sunny summer days enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the large garden.
The Smithy is the perfect location for exploring further afield if you can tear yourself away from your fishing! As well as fishing the location is perfect for walkers and cyclists as it is surrounded by miles of quiet country lanes as well as being close to Kirroughtree and the renowned 7stanes mountain bike trails.
Not forgetting the golfers as there is a great choice of golf courses close by. Explore the beautiful gardens in the area and with its stunning coastline there are many rocky coves, sandy beaches and quaint villages to enjoy. From The Smithy explore the wonders of the Galloway Forest Park, Britain’s largest forest park with three hundred square miles of wild beauty just waiting to be explored. The park boasts tranquil valleys, rugged rock faces, forest, moorland, lochs and ancient woodland alongside a huge diversity of wildlife including red and roe deer, wild goats and many birds of prey.
