Stunning Rural Barn Conversion with Hot tub & pool table


Our Barn has been lovingly converted to become a truly comfortable family home, with great attention to detail. A very pretty garden surrounds the property with plenty of outside dining areas. With many walks right on the doorstep, situated in a private isolated position on the edge of an old WW2 Airfield at the end of a dead-end road, Liston Hall Barn is the perfect oasis to relax in the company of your favourite people. The whole house can be exclusively yours for a Long Weekend or come with your family & relax for a week's holiday. We offer a discount for long stays.

Cook for yourself in our very well-equipped modern kitchen or if you don't fancy cooking, there are plenty of great pubs to eat in the many beautiful villages in this area of North Essex or why not book our very popular recommended private chef to come cook for you!

You are welcome to borrow one of our Bikes to explore the area (Please note helmets are not provided). If however, you prefer just to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet our Hot Tub provides ultimate relaxation time, there is no extra charge for the use of this and it does not require booking in advance. We provide beach towels for your use, so no need to bring your own.

There are three seating areas/garden, for guests use: at the front of the house where you will find the table tennis table, the back courtyard garden with a large dining table & 10 chairs & Hot Tub and to the entrance of the house there is another smaller table and chairs & Gas BBQ. All other areas of garden further back are marked private for the owners use only.

Our nightly price is for 5 en-suite double bedrooms with the use of a small double sofa bed suitable for children. We can arrange for the sofa bed to be made up on the Mezzanine room within room 2 or on the Mezzanine floor above the kitchen. Please note as this is a small double bed and the Mezzanine room is not large, it is best suited to children. A supplement fee may be charged for this, please enquire with Host!

We are extremely close to the wonderful wedding venues of Gosfield Hall & Hedingham Castle, so ideal for your stay if you are a Wedding guest!

Gosfield lake is close by, offering Lake Open Swimming and Water

The barn provided a flexible, comfortable, well-equipped space for our small team. The area is pretty and very quiet; outside seating in two spaces was appreciated as were the footpaths within walking distance. The welcome was warm and Sally kept in touch to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay.

Very cosy place for a weekend away with friends

Excellent place in gorgeous countryside. The kitchen is fantastic to cook in. The living room is also incredibly warm despite the brick aesthetic and high ceilings. Sally was great at explaining how everything worked. The house was very clean and we really appreciated the additional towels and plentiful cutlery for cooking.

Impressive property in quiet setting

We we're a group of friends staying at the stunning barn conversion for a wedding. The kitchen was very big and more than adequate to accommodate cokking for a large group of adults, and all 5 bedrooms were very comfortable with good bathroom facilities. Highlight for us was the lovely outdoor areas and all the games provided at the stay for guests to play. Sally was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

New Years Eve Stay

We had a great break staying at Liston Hall Barn with friends over New Year’s Eve. The barn was spotless upon arrival and Sally was there to greet us. All bedrooms/en-suites were clean and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and overall it’s a very comfy spacious barn for a big group. Sally was a great host and easy to get hold of should we needed to. We will defo be back soon! Thank you Sally X

Excellent short break

We stayed here as a family of 9 adults to celebrate an 80th birthday. The host Sally couldn’t have been more helpful on the run up to our arrival, answering all questions we had and providing recommendations for restaurants/activities in the local area, us well as welcoming us to the barn and giving us a tour/information about the accommodation. The barn itself was absolutely stunning, a large amount of space for socialising as well as a well equipped kitchen and 5 bedrooms/en suites. Only small thing we would have liked is a couple of extra frying pans for cooking. We particularly enjoyed the facilities available including hot tub, pool table and table tennis. A thoroughly memorable stay and will definitely be back in the future. Thank you!

Better than it looks online!

This is an amazing property and location. Wonderfully quiet and fully stocked with everything you need. The bedrooms worked well for our big family, including 3 small kids. I have to say that the photos online do not do it justice! It's even better than you think. The manager and owners are brilliant too.
