About this property
6 Bed in Lavenham (oc-stofa)
A gorgeously reimagined former farmhouse with a stunning curved-glass facade, this stylishly updated holiday home makes a fabulous retreat for larger families and groups of friends looking for an unforgettable destination surrounded by idyllic countryside. Situated on the outskirts of the historic village of Lavenham, this superb hideaway occupies three floors and has been beautifully decorated and elegantly furnished, with a range of features including a rooftop sun terrace, a balcony, wood burner and water feature. Set in a tranquil spot in the heart of Suffolk, the property offers sumptuous, light-filled accommodation for up to twelve guests, providing a wonderful backdrop for special occasions and reunions.
Entering the property, follow the stairs as they sweep up and into the light, spacious and elegantly furnished open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is a fabulous space whether you’re marking a special occasion or simply wanting to relax in a bright, stylish atmosphere. Doors open out onto a large sun terrace with soft seating, a BBQ and wood-fired pizza oven, offering wonderful views and a relaxing spot for dining alfresco. The first bedroom, a cheerful double, is on the lower ground floor, with doors to the garden. The remaining bedrooms – a king-size, a super-king-size, a bunk bedroom and two twins – are all on the upper ground floor. All six bedrooms have en-suite facilities. Outside, the extensive beautiful grounds include a children’s play area and a wild meadow garden.
Dating back to medieval times, Lavenham is a picturesque town which has a choice of fantastic places to eat and drink, with the bustling Bury St Edmunds just a short drive to the north (12.5 miles). There are plenty of popular local attractions within easy reach including Kentwell Hall, Melford Hall, Kersey Mill, Bradfield Woods National Nature Reserve and Baylham House Rare Breed Farm, all within 16 miles.
