Well equipped, cosy, clean and comfortable accommodation for two. Everything had been thought of and the communications were friendly. Lots of great walks including from the door.
We enjoyed our stay in this cottage in a very quiet place.
The house is very comfortable and well equiped.
The landscape are magnificent and there is a lot of places to see not far from the cottage.
Sure we will come back
This is a beautiful place and the cottage is simple and comfortable. There is nothing fake here - no frills or cheap wine or plastic flowers! We can recommend it to those who are happy to walk and cook at home, and don't mind all weathers.
Lovely cottage with all you need exceptionally clean and comfortable, lovely walks along the shore and being central kintyre good for north and south.
Isle of gigha and achamore gardens lovely. Skipness castle and the smoke house great. Shop cafe and garden centre at glen barr brilliant. Found everyone so welcoming. Hope to return one day soon.
Enjoyed our stay at Bob's remote cottage.Plenty passing places on the road down .Lots of nice walks from the door .Enjoyed the piece and quite of the remote location.
A peaceful stay in a place far away, with walks, water and Calmac ferries to be seen
We loved the peacefulness and sense of being far away from it all. The cottage suits an individual or couple very well and is clean and well equipped with everything required. We are swimmers so managed to get down to swim in the shallow bay a few times. The walks locally - including one to a secret beach are lovely and that beach is amazing. It is quite a bit of travelling off the main road so be prepared for that but we enjoyed our travels to Lochgilphead and Tarbert - especially the ferry over to Portavadie - which now has a new Leisure Centre (by the way)- and beyond to the Kyles of Bute etc. Trips round the coast to see Jura and the visit to the Kilberry Inn were highlights too. We also loved the rhythms of the Calmac Ferry coming back and forward as this passes the cottage/bay regularly. Many pictures were taken by the wonderful standing stone nearby which is a historic feature. Beautiful sunrises can be seen at the bay, amazing stars in the darkness and sunsets a bit further round near Kilberry.
What a wonderful time I spent here so peaceful and beautiful and out of this world! There are no street lights here so excellent stargazing. The house is very cosy and well equipped, nice quality towels and everything fresh and clean. Well equipped kitchen, crockery, utensils. I mainly stayed here myself and if ye need healing this is the place to come to. I spent hours outside sitting on front deck but mainly on the side/back deck watching n listening tae all the wee bird population and the wee flock of black sheep over in the field, 3 or 4 young deer appearing behing them around teatime every night, great walk to ardpatrick point or in my case cycle - its possible to cycle most of the way. There is so much to see and feel and do here. I felt very immersed in the natural world and loads of bees, butterflies n birds keeping me company. I wid take a cup of tea round to the side deck in the morning and still be there 2 hours later its so entrancing and the mediative state seems tae just happen here - it comes naturally and has such a healing energy. So many times ma heart filled wi joy. Also the deck spaces are ideal for a bit of yoga or tai chi. or just sunbathing - good, comfy, adustable chairs. Such a nice feeling to step back inside the cottage wi its massively thick walls. There are no negatives here, tho some people may struggle wi the peaty colour of the water there are bottles of drinking water provided but honestly I made all ma hot drinks, porridge etc wi tap water its perfectly safe to drink and cook with. The shower is very good. Excellent instructions provided for woodburner, tv etc I feel well restored and will definitely book here again - I canny wait!
Had a brilliant stay at the cottage, the location is fantastic, gorgeous cosy cottage, everything you need and more and Bob the owner was responding in a timely manner to any of our queries and questions which was much appreciated 😊
Very well equipped and well presented cottage. If you are looking for a relaxing location this is it wildlife on the doorstep and some nice walks. The road to Ardpatrick is single track but quiet and incredibly scenic. If you do stay you need to book a table at close by Kilbrrry Inn at same time-
Lovely location. Be prepared to drive an hour to get anywhere. Book the local restaurant over a month in advance as we tried three weeks in advance and no luck!
Lovely walks from the house. Scotland will never disappoint
This cottage is one of the best I've stayed in. Albeit small it's the ideal location to walk out of the door down to the Loch. The location is stunning and if you are into watersports or walking its ideal.
A delightful cottage in a gorgeous location. Extremely helpful and pleasant host. Everything was lovely even the weather. Saw eagles, red squirrels and red deer and a number of seabirds near the cottage. The walk to the cove was particularly memorable.
Lovely location with walks and bike rides from the door. Be ready for a longish drive to the main road for visits further afield. Beautiful little coves and beaches, seals, otters.
Very well appointed cottage in peaceful location. A great base for either total relaxation or exploring this lovely area. We saw Otters, Red Squirrels, birds and wild flowers galore and wonderful views at every turn, a real haven for wildlife lovers.
Also empty beaches of white sand and crystal clear water.

Lovely remote cottage in beautiful surroundings. Loved lighting the log burner in the evenings.
We come up to Scotland most years but this was our first visit to this area. Very beautiful with islands and water around every corner. We walked across the estate to a deserted little bay where there were so many different shells to collect. We explored some delightful little coastal roads. We spent a day on Arran . Sunshine all day and a picnic on the beach. The Kintyre peninsula was less interesting.
Tarbert is a nice little town for both the necessary food shopping and the numerous gift shops.
The cottage was very good with lots of thoughtful little extras. A good supply on arrival of toilet paper, washing machine detergents, washing up liquid etc. When you are two people staying for only a week it is really annoying to have to buy all of these things and only use a very small amount. And thank you Annie for the pretty flowers.
We enjoyed lighting the log burner in the evenings when it was raining outside, although it was not cold, the cottage is very cosy.
We had some very good meals at The West Loch hotel.
My one criticism relates to the bed. Maybe the mattress is quite old? We did not find that it offered us good support. ( we are both small and slim!!) so did not sleep as well as we would have hoped.
Nevertheless, I would recommend this holiday home .

Characterful cottage with mod cons in a very peaceful/beautiful spot
An ideal spot to get away from it all . Choose to just stay nearby the cottage or wander a little farther away. The peaceful/beautiful surroundings are very soothing and you can soon lose yourself in it all . The cottage is ideal for two and very comfortable. Wildlfe is there for you to find and hear. There is a great mixture of coast (including beaches) and country.

Bijou comfortable cottage in a beautiful location
As above, the only additional comment is that a welcome pack (milk) would have been useful as the location is remote and the nearest shop 10 miles away.
