Quietly situated in a leafy residential district, a 5-minute drive from several local beaches, this spacious holiday escape comfortably sleeps six guests. The property is surrounded by a wonderfully sunny, fenced-in, private garden, which also makes it the perfect destination to take any canine companions.

Set up for outside living the garden is edged with trees and allows ample space for long, lazy alfresco meals or languid afternoons relaxing in the sun on the deckchairs or in the shade of the trees.

Inside, the detached property enjoys a large open-plan living space furnished with a comfortable sofa, a smart flat-screen HDTV, a dining table and a fully equipped kitchen fitted with; a cooker hob, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a Moka coffee machine and a fridge freezer. Two sets of large floor-to-ceiling glass doors positioned by the kitchen and dining area lead out to separate shady terraces.

Location

The property is situated a 3-minute drive from the centre of Leggiuno, a small town in Lombardy, close to the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore. Leggiuno is a convenient base for exploring the Borromean Islands, including Isola Bella, Isola Madre, and Isola dei Pescatori. Guests can reach the port of Laveno Mombello in 10-minutes by car where they will find a major ferry terminal with regular services to the Borromean Islands and other towns around the lake. The town is also famous for its cable car, the \"Funivia del Lago Maggiore,\" which takes visitors up to Mount Sasso del Ferro. From the summit, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding area.

The beautiful lakeside monastery ‘Santra Caterina del Sasso’ is also worth visiting and is just a 5-minute drive away. Founded in 1170, this Catholic monastery overlooks Lake Maggiore and is accessible by both stairs or an elevator.

Visitors seeking total relaxation can head to one of the nearby lakeside beaches. The beautiful partial-sand partial-garden Guree beach is a 7-minute drive away and both the pretty family-friendly beach of Reno and the local beach in Arolo are only a 5-minute drive from the house.
