Watersedge Retreat Lake District views Pet friendly
Watersedge Retreat has beautiful views over the River Kent Estuary and is a gorgeous place to escape for a break with your family, your partner, or with your dog! The two-bedroom holiday home is very well presented, offering four guests a high standard of accommodation in a location you'll adore. It's in the Arnside & Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the hamlet of Sandside, just over the water from the southern Lake District and within a short drive of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland AONB.
Sandside is breathtaking, with sublime views and loads of opportunities for walking and cycling. Although barely 15 miles from the southern shore of Windermere and less than ten minutes from Kendal, the number of visitors is far fewer than the Lakes, which means it always feels tranquil, even in the busy school holiday season. The nearest amenities are just over a mile away in the market town of Milnthorpe, where there are two small supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and cafes and there are also plenty of cafes, tea rooms and pubs just five minutes away in the coastal village of Arnside.

Great property, well equiped, located well, nicely furnished and decorated. We loved the views out over the sands, great little place to explore the Lake District.

Laura was a wonderful guest who left the house on perfect condition. We would be delighted to welcome Laura and her family back
Easy and quick communications with Julie and Gareth, answering all our queries. Lovely house with stunning views over River Kent. Appreciated the utensils in the kitchen as well as tea and coffee! Very nicely appointed, balconies were magnificent! Would be useful to have more guest shelves in the bathroom and, for us anyway, firmer mattresses. Hadn't realised parking was in an access road used by large lorries and backing onto a quarry. Great spot from which to investigate both Dales and Lakes. Would definitely like to return. Thanks for a good stay.
