We had a wonderful four-night stay at The Old Forge in Stowupland. The accommodation is perfect for a couple (and our dog!) and is incredibly well-equipped. The large kitchen has everything you need and all of the furnishings throughout the property are of a high quality and extremely comfortable. The decor is lovely and the very large walk-in shower is delightful. The location provides a great base for exploring the villages and towns in Sufflok, including Southwold and Aldeburgh on the coast. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here.

An immaculate property with all amenities and in a very quiet rural area.
An immaculate property with all amenities and in a very quiet rural area. The quality and cleanliness of the accommodation cannot be overstated. There is a village nearby with a Coop and this is well-stocked and if you want to self-cater more fully it might be best to bring food with you although the Coop prices are competitive compared to more heavily built-up areas, in our case London. The Hot Tub is log-fired and it can be difficult to light and takes time to get up to temperature, therefore plan ahead if you want to use it and don't necessarily expect it to perform like a conventionally powered Hot Tub.There are no USB sockets in the property; therefore, you should power anything you want to charge via a laptop or use a socket charger that accepts a USB connection. There is a fish and chip shop in the village that gets busy at times and you may have to wait for things to be cooked.
