Brilliant!
Excellent property, all we could have wished for. Location central for numerous attractions locally in Norfolk and Suffolk. We are already talking about returning.

Smell
It was generally ok , great location but the damp smell was off putting. Some TLC needed everywhere.
Lovely location just outside the town. It felt like we were truely out in the countryside.
Carol made us feel at home and our dog enjoyed meeting Carols grandchildren.
Everything you needed and wanted was there and the milk and biscuits on arrival were a lovely touch.
We took our big dog with us and she enjoyed it very much. Carol was lovely about our dog whereas other places we have stayed the owners have been a little unwelcoming to her.
Will definately be back.
Thank you x

Lovely, just what we needed
Owner Carol, was very friendly and provided everything we needed. She even picked us up from the train station!!! Impressive bedroom and bathroom, looks just like the pictures. We particularly enjoyed the radio in the kitchen. Note for visitors, the taxis are surprisingly unpredictable and you may need to book in advance, as they are always busy. Walk into town is not far, but bring a torch as there are no street lights. I am sure we will be returning soon felt like a home from home.
Rookery Nook itself is an absolutely beautiful cottage - very quaint but still equipped with all conveniences you could need. Phil and Carol have gone to great lengths to make it very homely and also provide helpful guides on how to use the items in the cottage, worthwhile places to visit nearby and a chance to give some feedback and thoughts in a visitors book. We didn't need much help from either Phil or Carol during our stay, but on the rare occasions we did they were very obliging and friendly.
Rookery Nook is also in a great location, as it's quiet and private but also not far at all from many of the local places you'd like to visit, especially if you are travelling by car. There is a supermarket a short distance away and it takes only a few minutes to get into the centre of Diss, which is a lovely town with plenty to see and do. We were very well looked after during our stay and would definitely return, as well as spread the word and recommend to anyone else interesting in taking a break in this gorgeous part of the country.

Lovely spacious holiday cottage that really does have everything you need for a relaxing few days away. Pretty south facing garden to relax in, which is also fenced to keep in smaller dogs. We liked the fact the cottage is rural yet only a short drive into Diss town centre for local shops and food outlets. Great communication from host.
Beautiful property a bit like a tardis looks small from the outside but once inside really spacious and a really quiet area no traffic noise would highly recommend it only negative if you could call it one is there are no amenities within 2 miles ie shops/pubs other than that perfect
What a wonderful spot! On the outskirts of town (but walking distane of the shops and train station), secluded outside but spacious for two within, this is somewhere we'd definitely like to return to.With a good sized kitchen and ample living area and outside dining area, this was a refreshing and relaxing place for a few days away, but well located for coastal attractions like Southwold, local nature reserves and historical sites like Grimes Graves. The garden is lovely to watch of a summers evening with birds flitting in and out. Chickens roam nearby so eggs are fresh. Really enjoyed the stay and hope to return some time; thank you!
Very peaceful. Loads of dog friendly places to go. Great pubs only 20min walk. We were left to our own devices which is just what we wanted. Rookery Nooke is very well equipped with everything to make your stay as lovely as possible. We will definitely stay there again. Everyone we met in the area were so welcoming. 10/10
A lovely cottage in a beautiful location, well located for many activities and places to visit, but also ideal to chill. Carol and Philip are excellent hosts, friendly and welcoming, and always willing to help make the stay go well.
Rookery nook is a lovely quaint cottage, spacious for a one bedroom. Everything you need for a relaxing stay& the garden is a welcome extra if you like to catch the sun. A good base for exploring. Lovely considerate touches on arrival from Carol & Phil, milk in the fridge, biscuits & lovely fresh flowers.. all to make you feel very welcome.
