Located in stunning Coquetdale - perfect for exploring Northumberland.
On the edge of Northumberland National Park & the Dark Sky Park, the Forge is the perfect place for an active or relaxing holiday. Our location in Coquetdale is off the beaten path and is ideal for exploring Northumberland, the county of coasts and castles.
After a day of discovering our countryside, retreat to the Forge for a glass of wine & cook dinner on the BBQ or in the well-equipped kitchen while the kids play tennis in the shared court. Relaxing in front of the wood-burning stove is the perfect way to end the day when the weather is chilly.
The bench in our front garden and catch the afternoon sun. The back garden is perfect for summer BBQs or catching the morning sun on mild out-of-season days. The back garden is also "dog proof" (though we can't guarantee this if your dog is an escape artist!).
The Forge sleeps 6 adults and 1 infant. Our beds are cosy with fine hotel-quality bedding. If you require a fire guard, travel cot or high chair, they are available on request.
Our bathrooms have recently been refurbished and now have wonderful thermostatic showers and underfloor heating.

Why they chose this property
We bought the Forge in 2016 and have been blown away by the beauty and tranquillity of this unexplored corner of Britain. In summer we paddle in the upper Coquet and barbecue in the garden. In the winter we snowshoe in the Cheviots and stargaze. In the spring and autumn we walk in the empty hills and beaches returning to the Forge for a soak in the bath and to read by the fire. Northumberland, its history and atmosphere never fails to enchant us
