Great Cottage in Great Location

Really comfortable and cosy cottage that's well equipped. Location is great - really quiet and yet very close to local facilities as well as lots of walking. Views are also lovely.

This was our third stay at Causey View - a lovely well appointed bungalow with a spacious open plan living kitchen diner. Great location, clean home, good service. Well worth a stay!

Ideal location for walks.

First time using 'Keswick Cottages' found them to be a 1st class independent family run company. Kept informed from start to finish with all the information that we needed for our holiday. Cottage is very comfortable with all the equipment that we required. Ideal location for walks/ places of interest.

Lovely enjoyable stay

What's not to like about Causey view. Well presented, clean property. Everything we could need was in the property. Comfy double bed, didn't use the other room. Specious cottage for us two. Stunning views and we love Braithwaite village. Home from home..we didn't want to leave!

Amazing holiday in such a lovely bungalow, fantastic location. Would return Only negatives would be no logs provided for the log burner and a welcome pack would be helpful.

Causey View (when the rainclouds allowed)

Great location in Braithwaite and well appointed cottage with nice, shiny bath (welcome after a day on the fells) and lots of useful equipment for home cooking - would have been great to have had a few more baking trays to put multiple roasting items in the oven but the air fryer worked really well, so maybe not needed for most people. Nice and well-cleaned with plenty of boot and waterproofs drying space in the utility room, loads of coat hanging hooks too - really useful and surprisingly overlooked in many other cottages in which we have stayed over the years. Ambient background lighting for evenings - a reading light would be a great addition to the lounge/sitting room area for planning th enext day's ventures but minor and plenty of room to spread the map out on the table. All of the key elements for a superb stay and a homely feeling to the place that makes it feel very welcoming. Overall, very satisfied, would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends wanting to find a good base in Braithwaite, which is a great base for walking the NW fells from the door, with plenty of choices to eat out in the evening within 5mins walk too.

Very comfortable

Causey View is in a great location with lovely walks available from your doorstep. There’s a good selection of cafes and pubs nearby. The bungalow is extremely comfortable, clean and well appointed. We had questions during our stay and Rebecca at Keswick Cottages was a star. We very much hope to return.

Cosy and Comfy at Causey View

We had a fabulous week at Causey View - it helped that the weather was splendid. The cottage is very comfortable and has all appliances you could want or need. It is stylishly decorated and had plenty of space for 4 people. It is a fabulous location, right in the heart of the village with its own off-street parking and less than 2 mins to the village shop and 3 -5 mins to the two pubs! We ate in the Ivy House restaurant one night which was very good, and the Cottage in the Woods another - it is michelin starred and exceptional. There are several walks that you can do from the village, and the cottage is stocked with useful guides and maps. On our arrival the garden was very overgrown, however, the gardener came whilst we were there and revealed a beautiful sunny garden at the rear of the property which we enjoyed relaxing in. We would happily stay here again.

Enjoyed our visit to Causey View, great location handy for walks starting from the door and local buses to Keswick there is also a local store a few yards away and three bars in the village. Excellent accommodation, clean and comfortable throughout. Will certainly return in the future.

Stay in sept

Really enjoyed our stay the property is in a lovely location, the facilities are good although the washing hanger outside appeared to not work and it would be good if the single beds in the second bedroom were zip and link

Perfect

Spent many years visiting the Lakes but the first time staying in Braithwaite Bungalow was very modern and very spacious and comfortable. Stayed during the heatwave and the bungalow was very cool to come back to after being out early. We will be back.

Great Location and comfortable accommodation

Excellent location for local walks and basic amenities, great to walk to the bus stop for regular service to Keswick. The weather was cold so we found accommodation quite cold. Very clean and comfortable. Outdoor furniture could do with a refurbishment.

Another Great Stay

This was our 3rd stay at Causey View in the gorgeous village of Braithwaite. The location is wonderful with views of the fells and close to pubs serving food and bus stops nearby to visit surrounding areas. A fabulous area for walking access for Higher climbs and also gentle scenic walks. The property was immaculate and clean with everything you could need. The utility / drying room was much appreciated.

Perfect base for fell walking holiday

1st time booking through Keswick cottages and wouldn’t hesitate to use the company again, great communication and property well represented. Braithwaite is a great location with walks from the door, 2 pubs in the village and a shop which opens daily. Causey View was a perfect base, warm, clean, comfortable. Our requirements were exceeded with log burner, bath and comfortable bed. Spacious and well equipped kitchen and a fantastic utility space for storing and drying walking gear ( and beer and wine). Very quiet location, no passing traffic due to cul de sac location. Would be delighted to return, thank you.

Best property yet!!

After many years with Keswick Cottages in Keswick and surrounding villages Causey View was outstanding. But our meal in the Royal Oak was no match for our regular …. The Pheasant on Crosthwaite road! We will be back ! Thankyou.

Cosy bungalow in the middle of Braithwaite

This bungalow is a great choice, it seems to be recently decorated so is smart and clean with a modern bathroom and kitchen, and large yet cosy living area and good size bedrooms. It has all the appliances you’d need, good heating and hot water, separate utility room/boot room and is within a couple of minutes walk to the village shop. Off road parking is a bonus. Communication with the owner to extend our stay was easy and well managed.

Holiday Accommodation

We've stayed at Causey View for a holiday for the past three years. Being in Braithwaite, the bungalow is situated in the perfect place. We have enjoyed luxury holidays here and would love to come again. Having said that, the double bed has a hard mattress that my wife cannot get used to. She cannot sleep on it very well at all. For this reason we won't be booking next year, although everything else about the bungalow is absolutely fantastic.

Lovely week in this comfortable bungalow

We enjoyed a lovely week in this comfortable bungalow in beautiful Braithwaite. The cottage has a great layout with open plan living room, diner and kitchen. The 2 bedrooms are spacious and peaceful. There is a large bathroom / shower room and a great utility / boot room. There is a nice front garden and a small, private back garden. The cottage is well equipped with plenty crockery, equipment and modern appliances. The furniture is comfortable with nice curtains, cushions and pictures in keeping with the area. We had just a couple of suggestions to make the property even better: provide kitchen roll on arrival, no spatula for frying eggs, some coffee pods for the coffee machine, a washing basket for laundry. All pretty minor stuff in the grand scheme of things,
