This lovely romantic retreat is set in the stunning rural grounds, located in the hosts private estate within the South Downs National Park.

There are numerous country pubs, tea rooms and a tapas and pizza bar within walking distance in the local Horndean village, along with access to local takeaway deliveries. The Havant and Waterlooville delivery app is particularly good offering restaurant delivery services from Portmouth!

Gunwharf Quays, The Martime Museum, the Dockyard & National Trust Historic Houses are all within easy driving distance and accessible via public transport, there is also the Queen Elizabeth Country Park and many other country walking and biking trails. A popular walk leads to the lovely Chalton Windmill. The Chalton Red Lion pub is a must try which as well is the oldest pub in Hampshire! If you bring your bikes there are plenty of cycle routes also. Port Solent is a short distance drive and includes restaurants, shops and cinema all sat on the marina.

The A3M is less than a mile away with direct travel links to central London, Portsmouth , Brighton and other areas of the south coast via train and road.

This shepherds hut has been designed to an exemplary standard to take full advantage of its surroundings, overlooking meadows and ancient woodland, often visited by wildlife such as birds, deer, and fawns. The host provides binoculars for you to experience these views in full focus. There is also a farm close by housing alpaca, horses, and highland cattle.

The interior of the hut is cosy and well insulated, housing a bespoke kitchenette with a mini butler sink, mini fridge and two ring hob. A ‘chilli billie' log burner stover and outdoor fire pit provides additional cooking and heating facilities for those cooler days and nights. Logs will be provided for your first night stay with more available to purchase on site.

The double bed has built in storage for your suitcases and topped with a luxury mattress and cotton sheets. You can wake up overlooking fields and listening to morning bird song.

There is an opulent bathroom with a waterfall tap and handheld shower, an additional rain shower, heated towel rail and adjustable shaving mirror. There are fluffy towelling robes provided.

There is easy parking onsite with a private garden area and lawns. There is a table and chairs for your alfresco dining experiences.

The host has gone to great lengths to ensure this beautiful retreat offers every comfort you will need on your countryside stay.

Free Wi-fi available.

Quaint Getaway
What a lovely place..quiet and secluded. This hut had al the mod cons for a cosy getaway. Plenty of places to eat in the small town. Kim the host was lovely and welcoming. We will be more than happy to visit again.
