Sorry, no hen or stag parties. This property has a security deposit of £250.. Situated in a peaceful location, a sweeping valley of rural farmland stretches out behind this gorgeous barn conversion. Offering guests a panoramic view over the countryside, the enclosed garden boasts your own private hot tub, where you can unwind amongst the bubbles and steam, watching as the skies become illuminated with stars, the National Park boasts some of the UK’s darkest skies away from light pollution. Stepping inside this fabulous property, you can see it has been lovingly and carefully renovated throughout. The open plan living area is huge, with light from windows on both sides of the building as well as a glass door opening out into the garden. This vast space is ideal for family socialising, with plenty of seating on the corner sofa, as well as at the bespoke sweeping dining table where every meal becomes a social event. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything needed to create your favourite meals.
There are two sets of stairs leading to the first floor. One of the staircases leads you to a super kingsize, as well as a bedroom with three single beds – two of which can be made up as a super king on request, both have en-suite showers. The other staircase takes you to a family room with a double and a single bed, as well as a super kingsize bedroom with an en-suite shower, there is also a separate bathroom with both. This spacious barn conversion is ideal for a large family get together, as well as groups of friends celebrating special occasions in good company. Due to the property being on a working family farm, it is not suitable for pets or late night partying, such as stag and hen nights. This property is eco-friendly and has renwable engergy from a wind turbin and solar panels provide elcticity for underfloor heating, hot water is via a ground source heat pump throughout the property and the fresh filtered water is via bore hole.
Egton Bridge is a traditional Yorkshire village, with a choice of friendly local pubs serving hearty home cooked meals. You are around 1 mile away from the village itself down a private farm track. Historic Whitby is 7 miles and Robin Hood’s Bay, Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes are all within easy reach. Yorkshire Cycle Hub and café is just over 8 miles away.
Dalby Forest offers more cycling and walking trails, as well as a zip line course through the treetops. You can hire a canoe or a rowing boat in Ruswarp to take in the sights along the river Esk. Grosmont is around 4 miles away, where you can catch a train on the Esk Valley Railway to Whitby or ride the North York Moors Railway, with the heritage steam train taking you on a scenic journey from Whitby to Pickering, visiting beautiful little villages en-route, including Goathland which was featured in Harry Potter films and the TV series ‘Heartbeat’. After a day of discovery, you’ll need somewhere to unwind in comfort, and Sheep Dip Cottage is ideal, being sure to steal a little piece of your heart. Please note this property is a small distance from shops and supermarkets, however you can arrange online Grocery deliveries for during your stay.
