6 Bed/6 Bath/Sea Views/Garden/Parking/Sky Sp/HotTub hire
4 NIGHTS FOR PRICE OF 3
4 nights for the price of 3! Not available in peak holiday times - please ask before booking.
Seamoor House is a stylish, comfortable and spacious detached Edwardian seaside villa sleeping up to 14 in 6 bedrooms with 6 bathrooms, large kitchen/diner and 2 reception rooms.
The house has an enclosed sunny garden and ample parking for 4/5 cars. Also with Hot Tub hire from a local firm and SKY Sports.
The house is in a fantastic Whitby location on West Cliff with some sea views and loads of activities literally on the doorstep (see below) We are a few minutes walk from the centre of town, the picturesque harbour and beautiful Whitby beach on the stunning North Yorkshire coast.
As Seamoor house can accommodate up to 14 it is ideal for large groups of extended family or friends to enjoy a lovely activity packed seaside holiday in the summer or a fun filled weekend break or special celebration any time of the year.
You are spoiled for choice in Whitby - from the obvious delights of beach, harbour, town and Abbey ruins (all within a few minutes walk) and the huge number of activities in and around Whitby including lots of family friendly activities literally between the house and the cliffs! The North Yorkshire Moors are only a short drive away as are fabulous coastal walks and picturesque villages such as Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes, Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Danby.
Retaining its Edwardian character but with modern facilities we constantly strive to keep the house well decorated and comfortably furnished to a standard that we know is expected today - we have tried hard to create a stylish, well equipped, comfortable and relaxing holiday home that caters for all ages and requirements (including pool table, Sky Sports, PS3, videos, games and children's Playhouse). We hope it is a real home from home for everyone who stays - the reviews suggest that it is!
We now have an arrangement with a local Hot Tub Hire company - Smurfs Hot Tub Hire who can be found via the internet or on Facebook. Please contact them directly to check availability, costs and to arrange hire. **N.B. We do charge an energy fee towards the provision of water and electricity if you are hiring a hot tub - £60 per weekend, £100 per week so please let us know and we will add this to the balance of your rental.
We are also happy to welcome 1 or 2 well behaved medium sized dogs with responsible owners for an additional charge of £40 per dog.
UNFORTUNATELY the house is not suitable for STAG or HEN parties or large 'events'. If you are not sure please check with us first.

The dining area has a large sociable square table with comfortable seating for up to 14 with a large Lazy Susan, and leads onto a reception/games room at the front of the house with lots of comfortable seating, electric fire and a large flat screen Smart TV with Sky Sports.
A second reception room has more comfy seating, electric fire, a second large flat screen Smart TV with Sky Sports and a DVD player. There is also a large choice of books, DVDs, games and quizzes available - something for everyone!

This room also contains 2 single beds and together with the sofa bed can sleep 3/4 - it has limited hanging but loads of other storage.

There is a secluded, sunny, well established and largely walled garden to the back of the house with, large BBQ, garden furniture and benches for relaxing or dining alfresco and some garden/beach games.
There is also space for a hot tub - please see above and contact Smurfs Hot Tub Hire through the internet or their Facebook page for availability and costs. We provide water and electricity for which there is a £60 fee per weekend or £100 for a week which we will collect with the balance.
The garden can be secured for dogs and children by closing/bolting the metal side gates.
The large detached garage provides secure storage for guests bikes, wheel chairs etc - only available with prior arrangement.
A brick summer house has been made into a den for the younger guests together with a tent, play kitchen and brio train set. We had a fabulous stay! Excellent direct communication with our host who had arranged for the house to be beautifully decorated for our Christmas stay. All rooms were of a good size and nicely furnished and kitchen well stocked. It's location is perfect for both the short walk into Whitby and the seafront. We hope to visit again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay there.
Well suited for a three generation family. Parking for 3 cars and very convenient for walking into Whitby town centre and to the beach. The kitchen was very well equipped. Lovely to have a big table which we could all sit round comfortably for meal times.
We had a 3 generational family get together in February for 11 days. The weather was absolutely dreadful and very cold at times. We could not use the garden unfortunately because of the weather but it was a lovely area to sit it and not too big. So very glad this spacious, warm, well equipped home was booked which gave us freedom from being crowded out with each other. Location of house is excellent, easy walking distance to the town and promenade. Only one gripe is that all the beds were soft which did not suit a few members of the group.
Great property, bags of space and really quick communication from the owners. We stayed over New Year and hired a hot tub which was just amazing. The place is so well equipped, especially the kitchen, often with larger houses it’s hard to cook a meal for a larger group but there was lots of big pots and sharp knives! Takes 5-10 mins to walk to the seafront and 10-15 down into town, great parking for 4 cars and a secure garden for the pooches to explore. Thank you, hopefully will be back!
Simply fab .. house great so well equipped and just a joy

About the host
Hosted by Jude Ferrao
We are two families - the Ferraos and the Whites - with 6 very active boys between us and have holidayed together for many years. We all live in West London but have friends and family all around the country. We wanted to find a large house in a beautiful part of the country with lots to do where we could all get together - somewhere we would all look forward to going back to again and again!
Why they chose this property
Living in London we really wanted somewhere to get away to that was completely different from our everyday surroundings - a house that we could set up exactly the way we wanted. We have all spent time in Yorkshire over the years and love Whitby because it is a beautiful, historic, unspoiled seaside town with something for everyone and everything within walking distance.
Situated in a very beautiful area between the Yorkshire coast and the North York moors you are never far from the stunning coastline and beaches that we love. There are fabulous views, good walking, lovely beaches, golf courses (we are keen golfers), numerous other sporting activities, good independent shops, pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants. Something for everyone whatever the time of year and all in a lovely 'away from it all' setting! We loved this house because of the space and flexibility it offered - 5 double bedrooms upstairs - all en suite (one with bath), a downstairs bedroom with adjacent shower room. There is also loads of living and entertaining space in the two reception rooms and large kitchen/diner so it never feels full even with 12 or more of us there! (Being Sports fans we had to have SKY Sports as well!) We wanted Seamoor House to provide us with a great place for extended family and friends to get together in a comfortable, well equipped house that is everything we wanted from our 'home from home'. However, when we are not there we want it to be used and enjoyed by others so have set it up as a holiday let with this in mind!
What makes this property unique
- 6 double bedrooms (1 Superking, 1 Superking/twin plus chairbed, 3 double, downstairs bedroom with 3 singles.) - 6 bathrooms so no queuing/sharing and much quicker getting everyone ready to go! - 2 good sized comfortable reception rooms (one with pool table, PS3 and Ipod dock the other with DVD player), both with large flat screen TVs with SKY + Sports. - Large sociable kitchen/diner opening onto the enclosed garden with plenty of garden furniture, BBQ, garden games and kids playhouse. - Sea and Moor views from upstairs bedrooms - Parking for up to 5 cars - All a short stroll from just about everything Whitby has to offer!
