This is is our second stay at Hop Cottage and was exactly as we remembered it the first time around. It is the perfect retreat if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life, situated down a quiet country lane in the heart of Kent. The cottage is beautifully presented and is kitted out with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxed stay. The local village has everything you need, but you are only a short drive from places such as Hastings, Canterbury and Folkestone. It is a great base to stay if you wish to explore the wider area. Would highly recommend.

Hop Cottage was the perfect location for our New Year’s getaway with our dog.
Hop Cottage was the perfect location for our New Year’s getaway with our dog. Recently renovated, it’s modern yet cozy, with everything you need to relax by the electric fire, including games. The fully equipped kitchen and EV charging were great bonuses, and the location was ideal for walks and a very close-by country pub. Highly recommended!

Myself and my friend stayed at Hop Cottage for 2 nights.
Myself and my friend stayed at Hop Cottage for 2 nights. We were really pleased with the cosy cottage. Very clean, nicely decorated and fitted out. Great bathroom with large shower. Homely living room and bedrooms. Two outdoor seating areas. All required amenities (except an iron and board but that wasn’t a huge deal). Surrounded by the peaceful countryside. Tesco about a 15 minute drive away. Delicious cookies on arrival! Would definitely stay again. Thank you!
Upon our arrival at Hop Cottage we immediately knew that we had made an excellent decision in choosing to stay there. Nestled within the beautiful countryside, down a quiet country lane, it is the idyllic place to stay if you want a relaxing and comfortable break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cottage itself is beautifully furnished, in a modern yet traditional style that is fully in keeping with the age of the building. The rooms are large, light, airy and extremely comfortable, all complimented with tasteful furnishings. The large open plan living room and kitchen is fully kitted out with everything that you would need. The bathroom/showeroom has plenty of space, fitted with a beautiful bathroom suite and large modern shower cubical. Both bedrooms have comfortable double beds and were dressed with nice bed linen. There was more than adequate storage for clothing in the fully fitted wardrobes. There is also a secluded outside seating area where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the late afternoon and evening sun. Also it is worth mentioning that there is good Wi-Fi internet connection available at the cottage and is situated on the outskirts of the village which has a good local shop if you need to get those essential groceries. The property owner was extremely accommodating and was pleased to meet us upon our arrival, expressing that if we had any issues or queries during our stay to let her know immediately. I can highly recommend Hop Cottage as a perfect stay for couples or a small family and we will look to stay there again in the near future.
