Or better still, why not get a takeaway or visit some of the amazing local seafood restaurants and let the cook have a night off? Whilst visiting Whitby you can take a stroll through the cobbled ‘old town’ to discover a plethora of boutique shops. Whitby is known for its jet (a black gemstone formed from compressed, prehistoric trees!) and there are some fine artisan jewellers here, as well as antique shops, an old fashioned sweet shop and The Smokehouse - the kippers here taste amazing!
Other small fishing towns along the Heritage Coast include Staithes, Robin Hood’s Bay and Sandsend with its pretty seafront cafés. Further south, dramatic Flamborough Head with its gleaming white chalk cliffs which drop sheer into the North Sea, is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a photographer’s dream. Beach 50 yards. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
Free WiFi
Please note: There is a lift to the property.
There is a very polite notice in the bathroom, please keep bathroom door closed during and after shower due to the sensitivity of the alarm. It has to be that sensitive due to the flat being on the 3rd floor
