About this property
Whitby Sea View Cottage
18th Century Grade 2 listed with sea views from every room. Very quiet location set on The Cragg which retains old Whitby character and doesn't look much different from the exterior of the building to when it was in olden times and this was a fishing port for its living. A double bedroom and a twin bedroom have character beams. All bedding provided. The apartment underwent a complete renovation a couple of years ago while still retaining its character with the old beams on the ceilings.
Double glazing, gas central heating, soundproofing, and insulation. If you want to sleep and only listen to the sound of the sea this is the perfect cottage. Also included free scratch cards for parking so you can park on the front and then take your car to any W zone on that side of Whitby with the nearest location being the Khyber Pass just around the corner. There is a key safe outside the property so the guests can just let themselves in on arrival.
The entrance to the apartment is in the little quaint back alley, The Cragg, which is full of Whitby character from the olden days. The apartment is accessed from the front of the harbour on Pier Road via a flight of stone steps. Loading parking bays are available at the foot of the steps. Guests can unload in front of the apartment and watch their car are and then move off using the scratch cards from the apartment to park permanently on any w zone the nearest one is just around the corner the Khyber Pass. Open plan living room, kitchen, and dining area with 32inch Flat Screen T.V. with integral DVD Player, no Wi-Fi. The kitchen is well equipped and has modern integral facilities including a washing machine and dishwasher. The staircase leads up to the first-floor double bedroom and fully tiled bathroom with a shower. The attic twin bedroom (“The Crow’s Nest”) has character beams, again beautiful views down into the bustling harbour. If you are looking for an apartment that is quiet with glorious iconic views you can do no better! The cottage is strictly No Smoking and sorry no pets.
