Light and airy, charming Cape Cod cottage five minutes walk to Main Street. Lovely private yard with wonderful gardens of roses and hydrangeas and stone patio. Beautifully decorated in Shaker style, wide pine floors, and tiled bathrooms. Three bedrooms (2 upstairs and 1 downstairs) and study; two full bath rooms, upstairs and down. Central air conditioning. Fully equipped modern kitchen with range, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, disposal, range, microwave, coffee maker, blender, and washer/dryer. Patio furniture and grill, outdoor shower. Linens and beach towels provided. Off street parking for two cars. Free WiFi. Cable TV in all bedrooms, den, and living room. Property abuts conservation land and bird sanctuary. The cottage has all of the advantages of being in-Town, yet with the privacy, peace and quite of the country. Bike path across the street. Close to all beaches. Short walk to the bus stop at the end of the street. We look forward to having you as our guests!

This little house is well appointed and cozy. It’s centrally located with a bird sanctuary and walking paths right next to it. The host was easy to communicate with and the check in and out was easy.

Overall nice stay and fairly quick walk to town. The owner was very accommodating and allowed a flexible check in and check out time. The sheets/linens and mattresses are fairly used and had stains. The biggest red flag is the property lists 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Theres only 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One room said it had a king bed but its only queen. And one of the rooms has a pullout couch, not a bed. Overall, nice stay with great weather and beautiful outdoor space.

This house is a great location on the island as it is walking distance from downtown. While we didn't take advantage, the parking onsite is a great bonus. It has a beautiful enclosed backyard and abuts a trail through a nature sanctuary. We had a great stay here but there are fewer bathrooms than what is listed. We managed to work with what we had but if you're looking for a larger party, it is worth noting. I would definitely stay again, just adjusted for the reality when it comes to expectations.

Robert was extremely accommodating and easy to reach! Love the location being next to the bird sanctuary as it provides a quick and easy short cut to walk into town. The home is very comfortable and charming. Would definitely stay again.

Robert is a great communicator and responded to all messages within the hour. House is well located, about a 10 minute bike ride into town. Kitchen came with lots of utensils and cooking equipment, and there were plenty of beach and bath towels. A note on sleep arrangements: bedroom 1 has a full or queen bed (2 ppl), bedroom 2 has a full or queen bed (2 ppl), bedroom 3 has two single beds (2 people), and bedroom 4 (the den) has a pullout couch. I mention this as the listing was a bit unclear. Overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice weekend trip to Nantucket!

We werent given any check in procedures. Reached out to host and did not receive a response. Showed up to house and it was unlocked. There were alot of little bugs in the downstairs bathroom. Otherwise the house was fine for what we needed it for.

Host was communicative before the trip, and the place was just like the photos. Comfortable place to stay—nice and quiet, great location, and just what we needed for our stay! Listing was slightly confusing, as it says the den has a double futon and a double pull-out, but it only has the pull-out (so house does only sleep 8). When we arrived, there wasn’t any wifi, which made it impossible to communicate/use our phones, and the problem could only be rectified the following day (some of the outlets did not work). Also, although the host wrote over a private message before the trip that we could check-out at 11 am, they were at our door at 9 am telling us check-out was at 9.

Very nice house with lots of charm, even though it is a little out-dated. Easy access to the free bus shuttle. Was a nice, quiet place next to the bird sanctuary and a cemetery. Nice outdoor patio area in the back. Really appreciated the flexibility to store our luggage/ check in a little early too!

A charming, comfortable and commodious cottage. Nicely decorated. Well-equipped kitchen. Adjacent to a nature preserve with walking trails. It’s a long walk into town but Uber arrived almost instantly throughout the weekend. We highly recommend a stay at this property.

Why they chose this property

The cottage has all of the advantages of being in-town, yet you have the privacy and quite of the conservation area that surrounds the property. You can walk to downtown and all of Nantucket's great restaurants. The conservation area has wonderful hiking paths where you will see all of the native birds. Two cardinals have lived in our hydrangeas for many years. The privet enclosed backyard is private and safe for children with beautiful gardens full of hydrangeas and roses, and sheltered by an antique oak tree.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is centrally located within the Nantucket Historic District. The Old Mill and other historic sites are nearby. All beaches are easily walked or biked to. The bike path across the street connects with all of Nantucket's wonderful bike paths, making biking all over the island convenient and safe for children and adults alike. While there is off street parking for two cars, a car is not a necessity. Grocery shopping is a short walk. A bus stop is at the end of the street. Nantucket's seasonal bus transportation takes you to all areas of the island like Siasconst and Madaket.
