Robert was extremely accommodating and easy to reach! Love the location being next to the bird sanctuary as it provides a quick and easy short cut to walk into town. The home is very comfortable and charming. Would definitely stay again.
The property is somewhat in need of some TLC, which the pictures do not necessarily reflect. It has the feeling of a 40 year old house, where you do not have to look to closely at the finishings. This was reflected in the fact that the 2 of the three airco units only worked after intervention of the renter, or the bbq did not get hot enough to broil (we had to finish the steaks in the pan), or one of the four outside chairs was broken.(Same for the range, microwave, dishwasher: they work all fine but show their age)The yard definitely did not look like the pictures. It was in need of some yard work: trimming of the grass and bushes. The renter came on short notice to the property when we contacted him about the non working airconditioners. To his credit, he managed to get them working. He claimed to not know about the bbq and chair.Overall I would summarize our stay as pleasant with good weather, but the quality level of the cottage is not up to the sum asked for the stay. PRO: clean, ample towels, very spacious, comfortable sofas and bedsCONS: airco not working for us, bbq, garden,
We had a great stay at Robert’s place. He was a very accommodating host and was easy to communicate with. The house was in a great location and allowed us to walk into town. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Very nice house with lots of charm, even though it is a little out-dated. Easy access to the free bus shuttle. Was a nice, quiet place next to the bird sanctuary and a cemetery. Nice outdoor patio area in the back. Really appreciated the flexibility to store our luggage/ check in a little early too!
A charming, comfortable and commodious cottage. Nicely decorated. Well-equipped kitchen. Adjacent to a nature preserve with walking trails. It’s a long walk into town but Uber arrived almost instantly throughout the weekend. We highly recommend a stay at this property.
The photos don’t do this place justice - so much space and place for a comfortable stay. My friends and I stayed for two nights and very much enjoyed our stay! Would absolutely stay again.

On a busy road but the back yard is idyllic! Love the interior, convenient to bike or quick UBERs
We loved it! Had everything we needed, and the owner was super nice and responded quickly to questions and gave us several restaurant recommendations!
Very nice home, under a mile from town center. Clean, relaxed, very nice place. Only drawback was next to hospital, so rare helicopter arriving.

Why they chose this property
The cottage has all of the advantages of being in-town, yet you have the privacy and quite of the conservation area that surrounds the property. You can walk to downtown and all of Nantucket's great restaurants. The conservation area has wonderful hiking paths where you will see all of the native birds. Two cardinals have lived in our hydrangeas for many years. The privet enclosed backyard is private and safe for children with beautiful gardens full of hydrangeas and roses, and sheltered by an antique oak tree.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is centrally located within the Nantucket Historic District. The Old Mill and other historic sites are nearby. All beaches are easily walked or biked to. The bike path across the street connects with all of Nantucket's wonderful bike paths, making biking all over the island convenient and safe for children and adults alike. While there is off street parking for two cars, a car is not a necessity. Grocery shopping is a short walk. A bus stop is at the end of the street. Nantucket's seasonal bus transportation takes you to all areas of the island like Siasconst and Madaket.
