Our house is privately owned and rented by a friendly, thoughtful family. The property is well spaced from neighbors on a 1/2 acre lot on a private road off of Cliff Road. It offers sunny south and west facing open-plan living, with multiple areas for dining, reading and relaxing. The house enjoys central air conditioning and comfortable furnishings providing casual comfort and a place to gather, entertain or simply unwind. You will enjoy sitting outside on the raised deck with expansive natural views to the rear of the house over protected wetlands with abundant wildlife including deer, ducks, eagles, the occasional turtle and multiple bird species. Relax and enjoy unobstructed views of majestic sunsets from your own deck.

The house is designed over three floors with two ensuite master bedrooms on the second floor accessed by two different staircases at either end of the house. The 1st floor is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, including a separate breakfast area and casual sitting area and a full bathroom/shower. A spacious full living room is on this floor with large screen TV , fireplace and enough seating for the whole family. From the kitchen and breakfast area, you can go out onto the south and west-facing deck for a 180 degree view of the stunning conservation land below you. This is the perfect location for sundowners, spectacular sunsets and group al fresco dining. Here you will find a gas grill at your disposal. There is a lower ground floor which has a TV area, two bedrooms and a bathroom with tub/shower plus laundry. The lower ground floor opens to the rear of the property and is south facing getting sun from mid-morning onwards. Additionally there is a full basement where you will find beach equipment and a place to store anything such as rental bikes or other equipment.

The house is serviced by town water and comes fully equipped to help you enjoy the house and the island. We provide everything you will need to feel at home including a gas BBQ grill, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, coolers, board games, books to read while you are here. There is a wireless Sonos sound system on the 1st floor and smart TVs in both master bedrooms, living room, and kid's TV area downstairs. We provide a full complement of kitchen and bathroom amenities including espresso and filter coffee machines, all appliances, detergents, sponges, personal soaps, shampoo, conditioners, paper products etc.

Your hosts have owned and enjoyed the house since 2012 and have been coming to Nantucket Island for several decades. We are knowledgeable about the island and can help with any queries you may have. You may expect to enjoy the space and calm of Nantucket life and take advantage of all the house and island has to offer.

The area is a perfectly located near the historically important Cliff road area from which you can stroll to the heart of the historic town which is a 10-15 minute walk or a few minutes bike ride to access all restaurants and beautiful shops - no need to worry about finding a place to park! Near to the house out on Cliff Road you can hop onto the paved bike path to Dionis Beach, Madaket and all parts of the island. Cycle just a couple of minutes to Steps beach, where you will get fantastic views from the top of the Cliff on the north shore, and enjoy calm water swimming and an impressive sunset. Just a few hundred yards down Cliff Road towards town is Nantucket's iconic Something Natural Bakery where you can find fresh-baked bread and homemade sandwiches for take-out to eat at home on the deck, or at the beach.
