Come and stay at, "The Martin", our completely renovated, 3 bedroom two bath waterfront home. Our property on Winter Bay, offers every amenity you will need while exploring our Island. Uniquely located close to the National park beaches, yet only 15 minutes from Charlottetown. We are literally minutes from beaches and everything the "Green Gables" shore has to offer. This region includes Cavendish, Avonlea and over 10 golf courses. Must see Dalvay, Stanhope & Brackley Beaches, as well as, North Rustico Harbor, New Glasgow Lobster Suppers, Stanley Bridge are just a few of the great areas to explore during your stay on Prince Edwards Island.

"The Martin"; waterfront property can accommodate up to 6 people including children, and comes complete with a fully equipped Kitchen, Great room with large Dining and Living areas. Air Conditioning, Washer and Dryer, as well as brand new Beauty Rest Queen mattresses in all 3 bedrooms, two new full bathrooms are just some of the updated features of this home. Enjoy the water views and all the wild life that abounds from the huge screen room with BBQ. Floor to ceiling natural stone fireplace adds to the tasteful décor and finishes in this beautiful home. Large deck areas and a huge yard, with access to our private sandy shoreline. This is the perfect place to enjoy both sun rises and sun set evenings.

Don't miss all the activities, festivals and fairs that are happening in historic Charlottetown, the birthplace of Canada, only 20 minutess from our door. We can always suggest the best places to dine and spend your time while you are on "our Island". Multiple generations of our family have lived and loved this property and you can feel that warmth when you enter the home. The owners are close, but still far enough away :). Always available to help you with anything you need.

the best host and central location.

Such a wonderful host. She was there to greet us and answer any questions we had about the place, area, restaurants, history..... It was a joy to stay there. Lots of room for our family and very well equipped and central location. We all wished we had a week longer to stay and relax there.

Had it all

Clean home, our host Pearl covered everything she could. Screened porch was our favorite spot to watch the eagles, osprey and other birds and kept us from the mosquitoes. Home was clean and had all the comforts. I would recommend stopping in Charlottetown for groceries if you want to stay put as it is about 20-25 minutes away, wasn’t much for grocery stores in the area.

Reunion

“The Martin” cottage delivered everything we hoped it would. The house was very clean and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The location was a short 5 minute drive to our favorite Tracadie beach and about 15 minutes into Charlottetowns. Not to mention an undersold beautiful water view! Ms. Pearl was available to assist us with questions or concerns, of which we had none. Will be a trip to remember and would definitely recommend the property.

Amazing house and location

Pictures on website don’t do the place justice. Beautifully laid out and fully stocked with everything we needed. The air conditioning unit on the upstairs floor was amazing during this heat wave along with fans in every room. Pearl was amazing so helpful and accommodating to all our needs from start to finish. Thank you Pearl for sharing your family summer home with us. Highly recommend .

Great stay on PEI

Although we didn’t have the best weather (extreme heat and then a solid day of rain), this property suited our needs to visit PEI. Beautiful waterfront views from back deck and a screened in porch to help avoid mosquitoes! Pearl, the host, was so nice and this house is so well stocked with anything you could need!

Family vacation

Had a great stay! Pearl was very nice and gave us some info of things around. I had forgotten to buy coffe for us in the morning, and she brought us some from her home, super nice of her! I would book again.

Beautiful setting and great location

Fabulous ocean view. Comfortable and spacious home. You did need to coordinate the check in with the owner by landline telephone call (no text or keypad entry or emailed instructions), and she lives on the property next door. But it ended up being easy to get in touch.

Great Vacation Rental for Families

Our family of 5 had a great stay at The Martin - the house was very clean and comfortable! Our host Pearl was super friendly and welcoming. We loved having the cottage charm, with the bonus of updated ammenities in the kitchen and bathrooms, and a washer/dryer. In a good location close to town, but also a 5 minute drive from pristine PEI beaches. The Martin had everything we needed for a great family trip - we will be back again!

Comfortable home in a lovely setting

The perfect place for our group of 3 friends visiting PEI. The house was very comfortable and well-equipped and our host, Pearl, was friendly, welcoming and responsive. Close to some nice beaches, lobster shacks and Charlottetown and the airport. Lovely setting by a bay where we watched bald eagles. Definitely recommend!

What a beautiful house and a wonderful stay

Thank you Pearl for letting us stay in your beautiful childhood house. The house is really well decorated, with enough rooms, bathrooms and space for our 6 family members. It was really clean and really well organized. The BBQ and the veranda were a plus. The view on the water is amazing. We felt very welcome, and we appreciated you came by to introduce yourself and gave us insight on what to visit and what to do around the house. Thank you for so much and if we come back in the area we will contact you again.

Amazing getaway!

We loved Pearl’s house! She greeted us at checkin, and told us all about the house and the area. She gave us some great suggestions of areas to visit (it was our first trip to PEI). Pearl was just delightful and a plethora of knowledge as she is a true islander. We really loved our stay here, and the house itself was just perfect and lovely. It was peaceful and quiet, but also great that it was about 20 minutes from Charlottetown. We would 100% stay here again. Thank you Pearl!

Relaxing PEI Cottage

I don't even know where to start. The property is amazing, easy to find, it is on the water with wildlife in your backyard. Inside the cottage is very homelike feeling, there is space for your things and yet it has some lovely touches of home. My two teen kids and my senior mother and I stayed here for a week in August 2022. My senior mother can do a few steps but she uses a walker to get around and the main floor offered a bedroom and bathroom for her as well as plenty of space for her to get around and furniture that was easy for her to get up off of. Shower was walk in but we brought a bathroom stool and there was plenty of room for it. There is a lovely deck and even a screened in part to keep the bugs out. Pearl was a great resource for recommendations on places to go and places to eat. We enjoyed Souris Beach a few times and even got over to Cavendish and into Charlottetown too. I highly recommend this cottage. Of course I must mention wifi and a/c both of which my teens enjoyed.

Lovely stay

This is a lovely property 10 minutes from the centre of Charlottetown. It is waterfront with great views and access to the beach. We arrived only days after power was restored following a hurricane. Pearl welcomed us despite the circumstances. We really appreciated her hospitality.

A trip 4 generations

Ms Pearl was wonderful and helpful in every way. The house was very clean and you can tell there’s nice mattresses, good towels, and a stocked kitchen and laundry. We stayed near family so location was great for that, but with our two littles the drive to Charlottetown was tough. Planning ahead would have saved us time had we not wanted take out each night. The beaches are close by, but you can also easily drive to others that are further. Great spot out of town, quiet, sunrises we’re incredible, friendly host, overall a great stay while we visited local family.

Great Summer House

Wonderful experience with Pearl and her property. Very clean, welcoming and updated. We were attending a conference in Charlottetown so we did not get the full immersive experience but it was a wonderful retreat for us.

Peaceful beauty

Very comfortable house with plenty of space for 5 adults, beautiful view of trees and water, steps to walkable beach. We visited many areas of PEI from this base. Loved the screen porch!
