Welcome to Het Dijkje – a beautiful spot in the green in Utrecht!

Het Dijkje is located in the Maximapark, a green and peaceful area where you can truly unwind. At the same time, you can reach Utrecht’s vibrant city center in just 15 minutes.

What we offer:
- Free bikes and parking: Explore the surroundings with our free bicycles. If you bring your own (electric) bike, you can store it securely in our locked bike shed.
- Private terrace and garden: Each cottage has its own terrace, but you’re also welcome to relax on the large terrace in the front garden. Our chickens, Alex and Kiwi, roam around happily, creating a cheerful atmosphere.
- Sustainability: Het Dijkje is fully gas-free and powered by solar energy. Everything, from the air conditioning to the dishwasher, runs on green energy.

There’s plenty to enjoy:
- Take a stroll through the beautiful Maximapark.
- Visit Castle de Haar, just 3 kilometers away.
- Cycle along the Vecht River or to Amsterdam, only 25 kilometers away.
- Discover Utrecht’s city center with its canals and charming streets.

Our cottages – Terra and Luna:
The cottages are cozy and fully equipped. They have a private entrance and terrace with views of the fruit trees. Upstairs, you’ll find a large double box spring bed. Bed linen and towels are provided, and we’ll do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Our cottages are inspired by Castellum, a modern reconstruction of a Roman fort next door. We’re also located along the Limes Route, the ancient Roman border that is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

At Het Dijkje, you’ll enjoy peace, nature, and the convenience of the city within easy reach. We look forward to welcoming you!

This property has 2 rentals next to each other. Carola and Joris are very approachable and wonderful hosts. They want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Each unit is newly renovated and comfortable for 1-2 people to stay in. It is conveniently located near the Maxima Park, shops and lots of beautiful bike and walking paths. Next to the property is a large farm - which has a great store with fresh, local foods open on Thu-Sat. The area is very safe and friendly. Parking is free. Highways are easy to reach. A train station is nearby, making travel to Amsterdam easy. The bed is in the loft. The stairs to the loft are steep and may be problematic for people with mobility problems. The bathroom and kitchen are clean, modern and comfortable. This is definitely a wonderful location for short or longer term stays while visiting The Netherlands.

Urlaub in Holland

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in Holland. Ein hervorragendes ausgebautes Fahrradnetz und gute Beschilderung. Alles mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar. Utrecht ein zentraler Ort für Ausflüge mit Fahrrad, Bahn usw. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und helfen gerne weiter. Ein Aufenthalt können wir nur empfehlen.
