University of Edinburgh is 5 km from Dreghorn House, The nearest airport is Edinburgh Airport 9 km from the accommodation and a number of Train Stations are nearby.
Guests at the holiday home can enjoy hiking and skiing nearby, or make the most of the garden.
We accept corporate and long term rentals. We can provide serviced cleaning + bed changes weekly/fortnightly.
Dreghorn House is a spacious and modern, four bedroom house. Our inviting kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and utensils, perfect for cooking.
The property consists of 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, living room and kitchen + dining room.
Upstairs has 1 double bedroom and 1 king size room with ensuite. Another room contain a set of bunk beds and the other, 2 single beds.
Travel Cot is Available on Request.
1 bathroom with electric shower and bath.
The ensuite is equipped with a powerful gas shower.
In the downstairs area, the living room has comfortable, reclining chairs and smart TV with applications such as:
Netflix + Youtube etc.
The property also has super fast wifi, great for working from home and streaming online platforms.
The living room also enters to the bright and warm conservatory with access to the private garden.
We have a coffee/seating room alongside our half bathroom/utility closet. This has a washer and dryer for our guest's use along with a drying rack and iron board if needed.
Past this seating area you are greeted by the fantastic kitchen with underfloor heating and electrical appliances. Double ovens, microwave, gas hob and a selection of teas and coffee.
The small fridge will contain a few groceries to ensure a kickstart to your stay - milk, butter
Quality olive oil will be available for your cooking as well as coffee pods for the machine.

I have a huge love for horses and all other animals but my main intention is to provide a "home-from-home" experience with my fantastic property, Dreghorn House.
Why they chose this property
The area of Colinton is an affluent area with beautiful views of the city/castle and the Pentland hills in the distance. The town is rich in history and Colinton Village still has buildings dating back to 1908 and earlier. The location is ideal for commuting across Midlothian and to West Lothian. We are situated a minute away from the Dreghorn Junction of Edinburgh Bypass which can take you to Edinburgh Airport, Newington, Livingston, M8, Dalkieth etc. very efficiently.
What makes this property unique
Dreghorn House is an ex-barrack army house that has been refurbished majorly into the bright and modern home it is today. Before you drive and enter the street you may notice the operating barracks directly opposite!
