We had a really pleasant comfortable stay in this beautiful spacious well appointed flat. So easy to access restaurants bars cafes and tram for our short stay. Host was readily accessible when we had a slight and easily solved electrical problem. Would thoroughly recommend.
This accommodation was fantastic !! Clean, spacious, great area, lots of restaurants, shops, tram right outside, great access to the Royal Mile, airport etc. 100% recommend. We throughly enjoyed our stay. A
The pictures do not do it justice! It was lovely and spacious! Kitchen beautifully appointed but the food in the area was incredible. Tacos, Ellas, pubs out of this world. There were 7 of us so, 3 bathroom sinks two showers were plenty. The only think that would have put it over the top was if it had more than one toilet but it wasn't that inconvenient
It is a beautiful property with all the amenities you could need and even some toiletries! A few instructions for appliances would have been helpful but not a problem. Great location and some lovely places to eat in Leith as well. And beautiful brunch in urban jungle and tapas meal in la casa. Would recommend staying here
This apartment was great. It looks exactly as the pictures show. We were a party of 7, we were all happy and comfortable. The location is great with a tram very close by.
The kitchen was functionable with all the things you need to feed your family. 2 supermarkets just up the block. This place is a gem. If you book it you are winning. Host was great and very responsive.
Except communication everything was excellent. If communication is improved no complaints since someone new to the place should have properly communicated to avoid check in hiccups.
The flat was uniquely decorated and generally well equipped with everything you could need! It was far enough out of the town centre to make parking possible, but handy enough for central bars and restaurants. It was perfect for a weekend break with a group of friends.
The only downsides were - we were using one of the pull out beds and had to hunt for the linen which wasn't easy to find. There was also no duvet cover - and the host didnt respond to my comment or phone call - so we had to buy one, which was annoying when we had booked the apartment for 8 people. The flat was also a bit dusty. I would stay here again though as felt it was good value overall!

Disliked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Less than we expected
The apartment was a good size for our group of six however, there were some drawbacks. There was no kitchen roll, no cleaning products in the kitchen, no laundry detergent, a broken sink in the shower room, and an incomplete plumbing set in the room with the bathtub, so that water would shoot to the ceiling when one of the valves was opened. The listing was a little deceptive because it said there was a dryer and there was only a clothes drying rack. In Scotland, it takes at least two days for clothes to dry, which was a big drawback for a family with small children. The neighborhood was not very nice, there was graffiti and rubbish everywhere. In the evenings, there were drunk people wandering the streets yelling at flower beds.
For the cost of this apartment, we definitely did not get value for money. The apartment was run down and missing basic equipment and the area was terrible. We would not stay here again.
This was the perfect place for our group of 8 on the unhappy occasion of a family funeral. The family grew up just one street over, were my in-laws spent over 60 years of their lives together before moving away to the west coast 4 years ago. The neighborhood brought back all the nostalia for my husband and his siblings and especially my mother-in-law. It was great walking through the neighborhood and visiting some of the same shops and restaurants they had visited as children & teens. The flat itself was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. I couldn't believe how spacious it was, it slept all 8 of us comfortably with the 2 pull-out/trundle beds and having 2 showers made getting ready for the funeral in the morning very easy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to have a couple family meals. Overnight street parking right in front was free from 530pm to 830am, Free daytime parking at the hosts warehouse was available within a short walk. I was weary at first as this was our first time using a VRBO rental and there was a couple of negative reviews but after reading the negatives, I realized that it was most likely people who are unfamiliar with the area and/or Scotland in general because the complaints were about things I find to be pretty standard in Scotland (as an American who has visited often due to visiting family). shower controls are different, older buildings are not always handicap accesible, the city can be noisy and there is usually graffiti.
Had booked this apartment to stay in for my friends hen weekend, it was beautiful inside and very central to a number of bars / shops & food places with regular trams available to take you too the city centre. The property manager was also very communicative and answered any questions we may have had.
My family stayed at this nice, clean house for two nights. The location is convenient for visiting attractions in Edinburgh, with plenty of restaurants nearby. The only drawback is that there is no free parking on-site, but the host provides a safe, free parking lot about a 15-minute walk from the property.
Nice flat with a nice, well appointed kitchen and living and dining area. Quiet. Had trouble checking in as the key didn’t work and we couldn’t reach the owner for about an hour. But after that, they were very responsive. Parking is a distance away (GPS said 14 minutes walk.) However we were able to park close by on the street.
Location was good - close to tram spots and food. Couple of miles from Old Town. The mattress in the master was not very comfortable, but the other two beds were good. Be aware that parking, although free, is a mile away from the property.

When we walked into this property we were excited at the unique elegance of the interior of this flat. It was ideally located near reataurants and pubs to enjoy.
We also used the tram (5 pounds per person per day for unlimited trips) which allowed us to get to Old town Edinburgh in 3 wtops to St. Andrew square. We really enjoyed our stay and the location is great.
The location was fine with cafes and stores nearby, however I can’t imagine why it was voted 4th best neighborhood in the world. The flat was clean and spacious. One of the king size beds was very hard and not comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Parking was a 10 min walk away so not super convenient.
Family stayed for daughter’s wedding Ideal location as close to her flat. All good with flat apart from hot water tap in bathroom which requires some attention. We were not confident leaving car at Swanfield so made another arrangement. Might be better to advise guests to make their own arrangements. Otherwise an excellent place to stay for a larger group.
Can’t fault the accommodation. Spacious, well resourced and ideal location. Parking was an issue as not outside property, but a 5 minute drive away to a trading estate where I just had to leave the car and hope for the best! Communication not great. Had no idea about parking until after we’d arrived and unloaded so could potentially have got a ticket. And still waiting for a response for another issue but we’re back home!
