About this property

Stunning 5 bedroom holiday home, with amazing sea views, garden and parking

Day Dawn is a beautifully designed five-bedroom coastal retreat overlooking the award-winning Porthmeor Beach in glorious St Ives. In a perfect location with sweeping sea views, generous living spaces, and every detail carefully considered, this luxury self-catering home is perfect for families and groups seeking a memorable Cornish escape. Sleeping up to 11 guests, Day Dawn blends modern comforts with laid-back coastal charm—offering the ideal base for beach days, coastal adventures, and relaxed evenings together.

✨ What Makes It Special

From the moment you arrive, the views will take your breath away. Gaze across the Atlantic from the comfort of your sofa, sip a morning coffee watching surfers on the beach, or watch golden sunsets with a glass of fizz. The location couldn’t be better - just a five-minute stroll from Porthmeor Beach and a ten-minute wander into town, where you’ll find the picuresque harbour, boutique shops, galleries, and some of Cornwall’s best restaurants. Tucked into a quiet spot with direct access to the South West Coast Path, Day Dawn feels peaceful and private, yet close to everything.

The outdoor space is a real highlight. Fire up the BBQ for a long summer lunch, toast marshmallows at the outdoor fire place, or curl up in the egg chair with a book while the kids play in the garden. After a dip in the sea, the hot outdoor shower is a lifesaver. And with parking for four cars (a rare bonus in St Ives), coming and going is stress-free.

🛏 Space for Everyone

With five beautifully styled bedrooms, there’s plenty of space. Choose from three king-size doubles (two with sea views), a comfy twin, and a fun triple room with bunk + single bed. Four bathrooms mean no queues—three are en-suites and there’s also a family bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower. Fresh Egyptian cotton linens, fluffy towels, robes - and even little robes for the kids are included, along with toiletries so you can pack light.

🍴 Eat, Drink & Relax

The house has an “upside-down” layout so the main living spaces soak up the best views. The lounge is light and airy with a Juliette balcony that opens straight to the ocean air. The big kitchen-dining area (with seating for 11) is made for family meals and celebrations, with balcony doors that lead out into the garden.

When it’s time to wind down, head to the cinema room for a movie night or gaming session on the large flat screen with Xbox and DVD player.

🌟 Family & Friends

Travelling with kids? You’ll find toys, board games, books, a cot, highchair, stair gates, and baby gear ready for you. Grown-ups will love the Bose speakers and smart TVs in every bedroom, while fast Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected.

🌿 Those Extra Touches

We love making guests feel at home, so you’ll find a welcome hamper waiting when you arrive. Surfers and swimmers can make use of the body boards provided and wetsuit and board storage, and yes—dogs are welcome too (well-behaved four-legged friends only).

From cream teas with a sea view to sunset drinks by the outdoor fire place, Day Dawn is all about creating the kind of holiday you’ll talk about for years.

Truly amazing

The most beautiful house - much bigger and more impressive than even the pictures show! Spotlessly clean, everything (EVERYTHING) considered, from the slippers and robes, games, books and films, to generous amounts of sofas. A wonderful place for a group to stay. We'd return in a heartbeat.

Lovely house with fantastic sea views. Nice private and sunny garden. Parking by the house is very handy for St Ives. Everything in the house is top quality from the bed linen to towels. The host was responsive and helpful. Bedrooms are downstairs and in the heat kept cool at night, best house we ever rented in St Ives.

Amazing property in a beautiful location

We had a weekend stay at Day Dawn and thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful property, so much so we didnt want to leave. The house was equipped with all we could need and had ample space for our party of 9. Parking for 3 cars was a bonus. The views were spectacular, we particularly enjoyed dolphin watching and viewing the sunrise/sunset over a peaceful St Ives. The location was perfect and quiet! Communication with the hosts was also brilliant. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Fantastic long weekend

Stayed here for a long weekend in June. 11 family ranging from 9 months to 86 years. The house is amazing , lots of space, great clean facilities and some really lovely touches such as a dolls house and really nice toys for the children to play with. The garden is lovely and safe with some great seating for eating and relaxing. We go away every year and this is by far the nicest house we have stayed in. It’s located a 10/15 min walk from the town , down a steep hill, which was a little difficult for my mum but taxis were easy to come by.

Absolutely stunning

This house is absolutely beautiful. The bedrooms are beautiful with 3 en-suites and a big main bathroom. They provide slippers and dressing gowns. They even provided a very cute little dressing gown for the 3 yr old! The attention to detail is really lovely. The view from the upstairs lounge is incredible, we almost didn't want to go out. Beautiful and very well equipped kitchen, great for gathering around the big table for meals. The back garden will be fabulous in the summer months. Communication from the owners was brilliant....they let us know that we could access the house earlier and the night before departure let us know that we could stay until 11. We would absolutely love to visit again.

We have 3 children and originally moved to beautiful St Ives from London for the glorious surroundings and beach lifestyle. We moved to Exeter in 2018 after 7 fabulous years, but we cannot escape the irresistible pull of St Ives and often come down for holidays.

Why they chose this property

The location is fantastic, with everything within easy walking distance. The beach incredibly close and the views ........! The house itself is newly renovated this year and has a wonderful open plan feel, whilst also having space to find some peace if necessary. With beautiful personal touches you will feel at home in moments. There is a wonderful garden. Fantastic for children and adults alike.
