About this property
Luxury Modern Apartment Perfect For Relaxing Breaks Any Time Of Year
Welcome to SUPERIOR LUXURY HOLIDAYS presented by Chris and Janice Smith, Owners of 7 FERNHILL APARTMENTS, CARBIS BAY, CORNWALL. Our beautiful one bedroom Apartment is
5 STAR GOLD RATED, has ON-SITE DESIGNATED CAR-PARKING, has BREATHTAKING SEA VIEWS through the good size window (with padded window seat) in the sitting area, and is tailor made for couples, two individual or single guests. Our Apartment is the ideal base for holidays, honeymoons, birthdays, wedding and all other anniversaries, not forgetting Christmas and New Year,
St Ives holds a very lively New Year's Eve fancy dress Street Party each year.
Unlike most 5 Star Gold rated Apartments, we welcome one SMALL dog, with our agreement, but he/she must be house trained, must not be on heat/in season and must not be a puppy.
Our Apartment is spacious, light and airy, modern and comfortable and has stylish neutral interior design chosen by us. Everything in our Apartment is of very high quality from the unique artwork painted by two very skilled local Artists to the White Company silk bed throw. There is a 42' plasma TV with DVD player, Wi-Fi and an Ipod docking station in the sitting area, and a plasma TV in the bedroom. There is also a selection of DVDs, games and books.
We offer guests a welcome pack, towelling mule slippers and complimentary size toiletries. Bed linen and towels are provided. We are very proud to have been chosen by PENHALIGON’S and more recently FLORIS to offer their complimentary size toiletries in our Apartments. PENHALIGON’S was founded in 1860 by Cornish Barber William Penhaligon who moved from Penzance to London, and later became Court Barber and Perfumer to Queen Victoria. Penhaligon's was granted a Royal Warrant by Queen Alexander in 1903, and today still holds two very long standing Royal Warrants granted by HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh. FLORIS, founded in 1730 by Juan and Elizabeth Flores are the oldest English retailers of fragrances and toiletries in the country, and is still run today from the same shop at 89 Jermyn Street, London, by direct descendants of the Floris family. Floris was granted its first Royal Warrant by King George IV in 1820, with 19 Royal Warrants following. Today, very long standing Royal Warrants were granted by HM the Queen and HRH the Prince of Wales. Past customers include Florence Nightingale, Mary Shelly (author of Frankenstein and wife of the Poet Shelley), Beau Brummel and fictional James Bond always wore Flores No 89.
If it's peace and calm that you're looking for then this is the Apartment for you, The Apartment building, a former Mine Captain's house has been tastefully renovated into 9 Apartments. The Apartment is located in a quiet oasis of calm, with a peaceful garden, pathway/steps leading down to the beach and coastal path. St Ives is only a few minutes car ride away, or a 3 minute train ride away. Carbis Bay Train Station is within walking distance of the Apartment, with a train into St Ives every 30 minutes. There is also a regular bus service into St Ives from Carbis Bay, and a bus stop within easy walking distance of the Apartment.
The Apartment has access to the white sandy beaches of Carbis Bay for surfing, a range of water sports, riding stables, sunbathing and the scenic North Cornwall Coast path is a few minutes away. Within 5 miles there are two 18 hole Golf Courses. There is a Tesco Supermarket within walking distance of the Apartment, or groceries could be pre-ordered online before arrival. There is also a Costcutter general store, a Pharmacy and a Hairdressing Salon within walking distance. St Ives is steeped in history, and a century or so ago, was renowed for tin and copper mining and fishing, but today, mining no longer exists but fishing still does.
The North West Cornish Coast was featured in the very popular TV series Poldark. St Ives is relatively unspoiled, which is why St Ives, encompassing Carbis Bay, is easily one of the UK's most popular holiday destinations. The cobble streets of St Ives and quaint old buildings are still here which are now mostly upmarket shops and restaurants and bars for dining out. There are many attractions to visit in St Ives such as the Tate Gallery, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and St Michael's Mount in Marazion (a very short car ride away) to name but three.
We hope that we have said enough to tempt you into booking with us, but if you would like any further information, please don't hesitate in contacting Chris and Janice Smith, owners of 7 Fernhill Apartments who would be more than happy to assist. We offer SHORT BREAKS (3 nights minimum) in LOW SEASON. Please contact us for more details and price. If you prefer being in St Ives, we own a second Apartment CENTRAL ST IVES - APARTMENT 9 FERNLEA COURT. This is also a spacious one bedroom Apartment, 5 STAR GOLD RATED, PANORAMIC SEA VIEWS and SECURE GATED CAR-PARKING just across the road from the Apartment.
