We enjoyed a family gathering at Windrush. The location is great being just on the outskirts of Chipping Norton village. The property was clean and comfortable. We had a great weekend.

Stayed with 9 friends, the house was spacious enough for 10 people to stay in comfort. We walked to Hook Norton via Rollright Stones and enjoyed dinner at the Black Horse in the village. Clean, comfortable and well equipped…

Comfortable, well equipped house in a beautiful location
We had a very enjoyable stay at Windrush. The house was very comfortable indeed, perfect for our group. It was very well equipped, even down to the practicalities that help a large group but are often missed (large pans, ovens in both kitchen and annexe etc). It was very clean and in a very peaceful location, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The pub in the village was an added bonus, with great food served. Stay Cotswold's customer service was excellent - not that we needed them during our stay as they provided very clear, accessible information. We would definitely recommend to others and hope to return ourselves in the future.

August stay at Windrush Salford
We spend a lovely week in Windrush which accommodated our party of 15 (2 in cots) well. The weather helped as we were able to sit outside for meals. The new addition of the Table Tennis table was used by all. The easy walk/ drive to Chipping Norton for supplies and the playground was great. The Tesco delivery to the house was without problems. We bus pass owners used the bus which stops 5 mins away to go to Bourton on Water - busy town on a sunny day. The local pub provided refreshments for the walkers.
The only negative comment I would like to make is about the bins which were already full on our arrival. We managed to put out the recycling bin for collection. The cleaning company should be ensuring the bins are empty for new arrivals and sturdy bin bags in sufficient quantity available (we bought them and left some for the next party).

Thank you Malcolm for your review of your recent stay at Windrush. We are delighted to hear that you and your group had a wonderful week at Windrush and were able to enjoy meals outdoors, the new table tennis table, and the convenient access to Chipping Norton and surrounding areas. It is great to know the location worked well for both walkers and those using public transport. We really appreciate your feedback regarding the bins and we are sorry they were full upon your arrival, we have passed this feedback onto the property manager and he will ensure bins are emptied and sufficient bin bags are provided for future guests. We hope to welcome you back to the Cotswolds soon.

A Family Weekend
The house is located in a lovely area with lots of small villages to explore, with lots of coffee shops! The house is situated in a quiet corner, away from neighbours.
Although we didn't utilize the garden furniture, due to the cooler weather, it was good to see this was available in both the back and front gardens.
My main concern was that the property could sleep 15 and we were a party of 11 but with only one basic cooker, ie one oven, 4 rings on the hob and a small toaster, feeding everyone was a little challenging! Also there was only limited freezer and fridge room as these were both standard family sized equipment and again not really sufficient for a larger family visit. The oven baking equipment was of a poor standard and again limiting when trying to cook for a large number.
We also thought that having electrical cables hanging over the toaster was not very wise, so had to move the toaster. These should be secured back appropriately.

Great accomodation for large group
The house was lovely with plenty of space for a large family gathering. Having the additional annex was great. House lovely and warm but annex not so warm, but a heater in the annex helped.
Lovely to have a garden that could be closed off.
Plenty of parking at property for more than 3 cars if you don't mind a bit of car juggling (the space at end of road was usually full )
Useful having some basic supplies on our arrival, thanks.
Would be useful to have note in house re bin collection day. We would have put bins out had we known when it was.
Good location for walking from and drives out into the Cotswolds.
The management team responded promptly when we contacted them with a few points..
We had a great time and would book again.
Thank you

Lovely stay, but needs to be better equipped
The property is lovely, a great location for country walks and seeing the Cotswolds. Lovely and modern, spotlessly clean, and dealing with StayCotswold was easy (particularly when we accidentally locked ourselves out!). However we felt that it was quite poorly equipped for the size of the property and the number of people staying. There were not enough wine glasses for the adults to each have a glass of wine at dinner at the same time, and there was no corkscrew/bottle opener! There was a shortage of baking trays, water glasses and utensils (wooden spoons) etc. For a property that sleeps 10+, this seems like a basic error and should be addressed. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time.

Spacious property in a great location.
Great location in a small village with restaurant/pub and walking distance of Chipping Norton. Plenty of parking and reasonable gardens which do need tidying.
Lounge only had soft seating for 6 people but a large table for 13. Disappointed that there was only a domestic four hob cooker and oven and domestic size fridge. Surely a large American style fridge is needed and a six burner hob for 12 people. Saucepans were short of lids and roasting trays were poor. Downstairs toilets didn’t flush well and the drain below the kitchen window overflowed with waste water onto the patio. It’s a great house but it does have issues that need attention. There should be better provision for recycling. The dry waste recycling bin was full of general waste and looked like it hadn’t been collected for some while. We bagged our recycling and took it home.
The adjoining annex was super.
