About the host
Hosted by Alan Rigglesford
I am originally from London but my wife, Sarah, is a Janner at heart (the local name for a Plymothian). Sarah, my wife but girlfriend at the time, moved from Plymouth to live with me in London. We lived in London for approx 20 years, where we got married and became proud parents of two sons. We decided to move back to Plymouth as we both love it so much and my wife missed her family and friends.
Why they chose this property
My wife and I invested a lot of time and effort into transforming the apartment into something quite unique and very special. Lovingly restoring and enhancing the original Victorian features and marrying it with the new gives this apartment the wow factor. The building itself it Grade II listed and has a rich local history with unique features including an impressive stained glass window, located in the communal area, that was commissioned and created by Fouracre & Son, a well known local stained glass merchant. We are very proud of our creation and wish to share it for others to enjoy. Benefitting from being situated in Plymouth, an ocean city, where the pace of life is just right. The ocean views are spectacular and the list of things to do are long - there is something for everyone. Plymouth is a beautiful city.
What makes this property unique
The apartment has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. It comes with a 16-jet spa bath and a Bang & Olufsen entertainment system including a 46" television with amazing surround sound. With original Victoria features including a high ceiling with original carved wooden beams and an original exposed limestone wall. The beautiful and elegant stairwell has been furnished with solid oak stairs and glass panelling.
