It is a wonderful house to stay in with fabulous views and great walks literally right on the doorstep. Our Christmas was made perfect by the care and attention of Louise making sure we had everything we needed and more. We all loved the Christmas decorations especially the tree.

Family Christmas

A beautifully presented, spacious and comfortable home. Blackdown Border was an ideal property for our family Christmas. The secure gardens were perfect for our Labrador and we enjoyed some super walks into the National Park. We would love to visit again…

Our stay at Blackdown Border exceeded every expectation. It was the perfect place to get ready for my wedding with my bridesmaids. Louise was attentive, a quick responder with great attention to detail and the welcome bits were so appreciated! The house itself is stunning, and the location so beautiful. A large lovely family home with beautiful gardens and wonderful hot/cool tub and terrace to enjoy the summer. We were here during the heatwave and the host kindly suggested to turn the hot tub down so we could use it to cool off, which we did every day. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the lovely terrace was perfect for alfresco dining, which we did a lot of. Master bed was very comfortable. Lots of bathrooms so you can use the most convenient. The laundry facilities were excellent also and as we have lived out of a suitcase for 7 weeks, it was nice to get a few things clean. We were only a couple but appreciative of the space. It is in a great location, close to all the things in the Downs we wanted to see. Lots of lovely little villages with country pubs nearby so we tried quite a few. Excellent house, worth booking.

Summer Stay in Haslemere

We very much enjoyed our stay at Blackdown Border which was a very comfortable house and the outdoor spaces were beautiful. It was an easy house to enjoy and spend time relaxing in the gardens. Louise & Mike were very good hosts and accommodated our requests and made the process very simple. Blackdown Border is in a great location with good local facilities and made a good base to explore the area and easy to get to London when needed.

The venue was lovely with 5 large rooms 3 with en suites. Clean and tidy with plenty of space. I had a couple of nights there with friends and used the garden area and hot tub, followed by a couple of nights with my family again looking out at the wonderful views. Louise the host has been on hand replying to various messages we asked along the journey before, during and even after we stayed

Amazing Family Christmas

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home, with 3 generations under one roof for Christmas. The house is spacious and comfortable, and also very cozy. Louise’s Christmas decorations were beautiful, and she even went to the trouble of putting up a tree for us.The kitchen is large and well equipped - we spent a lot of time in this space, cooking together and just hanging out.Louise added many personal touches to welcome us, which were much appreciated.We would love to come back in the summer sometime, to experience the wonderful outdoor spaces and views.Thank you to the Rowlands family for an amazing stay!! We hope to be back!
