About this property
Spacious Sea-View Apt. Overlooking St Ives Bay
Relax and inhale the sea air from a spacious, open-plan apartment with panoramic views over the iconic Godrevy Lighthouse and St. Ives Bay. In summer enjoy a glass of fizz on the balcony as the sun sets over the sea; in winter come and watch the waves crash over Godrevy island.
Tucked away on the coast in a designated Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, only ½ mile from Gwithian surf beach and with St. Ives just across the bay, enjoy peace and tranquility in the heart of the Cornish countryside.
This apartment has been reimagined from the annexe in my family home, spread over 1 ½ floors with its own private entrance and generous balcony space.
The light, airy and modern space consists of an open-plan, boho-inspired bedroom, cosy lounge and fully-equipped kitchen spacious enough to cook up a romantic meal together.
French doors open straight onto the balcony complete with patio furniture to enjoy the sea views from with a glass of wine. If this isn't entertainment enough, you'll find a Smart TV with Netflix, a Bluetooth sound system, WiFi and a selection of Cornish books to leaf through.
For cosying up in the evening there's warm lighting, extra throws and blackout blinds, or for early risers there's ample room in this minimalist space to practice yoga or get creative as the sunlight streams in through your windows.
Downstairs you'll find a generously-sized bathroom with walk-in shower, vanity unit with his & hers sinks (or hers and hers, or his and his) and a separate toilet.
The property features keyless entry and there is ample parking on the driveway outside which is down a lane off the main road. Help yourself to some herbs from our Mediterranean herb garden on your way in.

About the host
Hosted by Lucy

When I'm not travelling around Europe I love to be back home in Cornwall, and have always enjoyed hosting people from all over the world in my home, showing them Cornwall's hidden gems. I've spent the last 6 years travelling around 29 different countries in my van, and am now taking a short break from travelling before planning my next trip.
I'm a photographer who particularly enjoys photo-documentaries, and if I'm not working on my next blog you'll more than likely find me outside working on my van.

Why they chose this property
This apartment has been reimagined from the annexe in my family home, which was built by my parents in 1995 and subsequently passed on to me; I am now the third generation of my family to live in this home.
The location of the house is perfectly positioned to admire the sunsets over St Ives Bay and being situated on a hill offers truly the best views in all of Gwithian. Whether the sun is dipping below the horizon, or the wild Atlantic storms are whipping up the waves, there are no two days that the view over Godrevy Lighthouse looks the same.

What makes this property unique
The small village of Gwithian is nestled at the far end of St Ives Bay, a 3 mile stretch of golden sand which is widely recognised as one of Cornwall's finest surfing beaches, which is just a 3 minute drive or 10 minute walk from your doorstep.
Just 20 minutes away by car is the beautiful harbour town of St Ives, but you're never more than an hour away from any of Cornwall's iconic landmarks.
You can pick up the coastal path nearby, spend the day on the beach, learn to surf at GAS, the Gwithian Academy of Surfing, or enjoy a real ale and some delicious food in the village pub. Whatever you enjoy, Gwithian is the perfect base to explore the area from, and there are many places to visit if you enjoy local Cornish food, or simply just want to enjoy the nature and Cornwall's beautiful landscapes.
