The property is presented to a good standard throughout. The large living room with windows to three sides fills the room with natural daylight and affords amazing views. The ground floor is on one level and features a double bedroom with its own en-suite, ideal for grandparents or those with restricted mobility. The large dining room boasts a feature stone fireplace and is warmed by a wood burner, the perfect place to enjoy a family cooked meal prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. There are three additional bedrooms on the first floor, and a family shower room is available on each floor totalling three showers and toilets. Outside, large gardens run to the front and rear of the property, with a delightful patio seating area ideal for morning coffee or a summer evening’s barbecue. There is ample parking for three cars and a storage shed for bikes or sports equipment.
The property backs onto open heather moorland, where birdwatchers will enjoy seeing several species endemic to the area. Look out for the red squirrels feeding in the garden, roe and sometimes even red deer are visible from the cottage. Nearby Grantown On Spey, 5.5 miles away, has a supermarket and a range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Hiking, climbing and mountain biking is widely available in the Cairngorms, and skiing can be found in Aviemore, 30 miles, and the Lecht ski school, 25 miles. There are plenty of walks and cycle routes available right from the doorstep and along the Speyside Way, and for golfing enthusiasts, there is a golf course within 5 miles. Here you are centrally placed for the Malt Whisky Trail with numerous distilleries within easy reach. The stunning Moray coast and beaches are only 30 miles away. Shops, pubs and restaurants 5½ miles.
