The property was clean & the bed was comfortable. The host was very responsive and provided great recommendations for nearby food and shopping. A few drawbacks with this property: The gate that led to the apartments that was unlocked. To me, this contributed to potentially unsafe conditions, if anyone from the block tried to walk onto the property. The path to the apartments is not well lit and has a lot of greenery/shrubbery. The phone flashlight was required to view the path to the apartment. This unit is on the 2nd level. The staircase leading up to the apartment is very narrow, which means the suitcase cannot be carried beside you. It was challenging getting 50lb suitcases up & down the curvy steps. Lastly, the main door to the apartment is very lightweight and is all glass. While there is a deadbolt on the door, it would be very easy for someone to break the glass, unlock the apartment door, and walk in. We locked the bedroom door for additional safety when we went to sleep. The shower did not have adequate water pressure. The water had to be turned on and off several times to complete 1 shower. There was hot water, but very little water pressure. The apartment does not have any curtains or shades in the main living space, so once the sun comes up, it is extremely bright. The bedroom doors have opaque glass. While the bedroom window had black out curtains, the glass door allowed brightness into the BR.
