Fantastic location with views over Funchal. The apartment was comfortable and exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed for our holiday. Check in process was seamless with someone awaiting our arrival. Host very responsive to any queries we had. As mentioned in other reviews it was on a steep hill but we expected that so was no problem for us. Supermarket and Funchal only 10 minute walk away.

House with great views over Funchal

Well equipped house with great views over Funchal. It had everything you need including a large garage. Good size rooms. Beds were a bit hard though. Shower heads need replacing as it was like using a hose pipe. The house is on a steep hill in case you are on foot so be aware. Ana was helpful and quick to respond to our queries.

Homewood bound

The arrival and check in was ok, the location was good but tricky to park as the garage was unavailable and one of the bathrooms was in the garage. There was no tea or coffee on arrival and we were hoping to have a cuppa on arrival. Work was being carried out throughtout our stay so no chance of relaxing. That said rhe location was beautiful. Although there was a washing machine there was no powder provided and the smallest box in the supermarket would have lasted us a month. Beautiful location and very clean

Good house in a great location

Spacious house with lovely big terrace only 10 minutes walk from bars, restaurants, supermarket, the old town and tour pick up points. Up a steep hill but worth it for the view over Funchal.

Encantador

La casa es muy cómoda con una vista hermosa, caluroso debido a la época del año y la localidad, sin embargo un lugar muy acogedor para quedarse y disfrutar de la isla, recomendado para quien desee alojarse en las cercanías de funchal. Debido al calor del verano seria bueno que la casa tenga aire acondicionado, sería un plus increíble. De resto cero quejas. Recomendadisimo.

Tolle Aussicht !!!

Die Wohnung liegt ein wenig oberhalb des Ortskerns. Für Auto und zu Fuß eine kleine Herausforderung, aber dafür wird man mit einer grandiosen Aussicht von der Terrasse auf Stadt und Hafen belohnt. Die Wohnung ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Großer Kühlschrank für Selbstversorger, zwei WC und Duschen, gutes W-Lan, viel Stauraum in jedem der drei Schlafzimmer. Alles prima!

SITUATION IDEALE

L'appartement est idéalement placé en plein centre de Funchal mais au calme au milieu d'une impasse. L'appartement était très propre à notre arrivée. Il dispose de 3 belles chambres avec rangements et de 2 salles de bains. Le garage est un vrai plus car le stationnement peut être compliqué dans la ville. Une belle terrasse complète la location avec une très belle vue aérée sur la ville et sur le port. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour sur cette île magnifique ou les gens sont accueillants et chaleureux. Obrigado Joao

Estadia satisfatória

O interior do alojamento encontrava-se em condições razoáveis, com tudo o que era necessário para a sua utilização (não tinha gel de banho nem champô, algo que estranhei). No exterior houveram problemas com muitas baratas e mau cheiro devido à defecação de gatos que ali existiam.

Good Choice

Joao was a great host. Our flight was late arriving in Madeira, we arrived at Joao's place at 3am. and had no issues accessing the house. Joao had left everything arranged for our late arrival. The property was clean and spacious in nice overall condition, it is well situated on a hill with a nice view overlooking the harbour and the city and also close to a Continent grocery store. The property has a large garage for anyone renting a car. It is a short walk to the center of Funchal, it could be tiring walking back home if you are not much of a walker, but that was not an issue for us since we like to walk. Overall we were happy with our choice and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Funchal.

Nice accommodation with view

My wife and I can confirm the positive judgment of other guests. The landlord is very friendly and accommodating and responded to our special requests. The big plus of the accommodation is its hillside location in a quiet cul-de-sac in Funchal, with wonderful views of the city and harbor from the terrace. The terrace is on the east side, so it is very hot there in the morning, but in the afternoon and evening you can sit comfortably in the shade (a parasol is also available). The bedrooms are small, but offer enough storage space in wardrobes that you don't have to live out of your suitcase. Everything you need is available in the kitchen, and the living room and dining area is inviting and feels comfortable. If you are traveling with a rental car, you can use the spacious garage for parking. We just wish there was better insect protection. We can recommend the accommodation without reservation.
