Small village (commune) with population less than 400. One great restaurant within walking distance, Restaurant La Bouzerotte (Wednesday-Saturday + Sunday lunch), and a recently restored small church. There are several wine producers in the village and a whisky distiller. The real magic, though, is the incredibly easy access to all the "name" wine-producing villages: Savigny-lès-Beaune 5km/3mi, Meursault 10km/7mi, Chassagne-Montrachet 21km/13mi, Nuit-Saint-Georges 21km/13mi. Beaune is 8km/5mi with a fantastic Saturday market, and lots of great restaurants and shopping. The Hospices de Beaune is a tourist attraction not to be missed. Bouze-lès-Beaune is also a good starting point for local walks, including the Fountain of the Ugly (Fontaine du Laides) and the Molle-Pierre cave. A Beaune tourist brochure, which may be of interest (French and English), may be found by Googling "Beaune Tourism" + "Guide de visite de Beaune"; other tourist brochures of surrounding villages of interest may also be found there.
