On arrival, you will find off-road parking before making your way into the cottage. Inside, you'll find a stylish kitchen adorned with an anthracite and gold colour scheme and modern appliances, perfect for whipping up delicious dinners with friends. The open-plan living area features a wood-burning stove, plush corner sofa and smart television with Netflix included. Head upstairs and you'll find two mezzanine-style double bedrooms, complete with bespoke built-in wardrobes and shelving units. One bedroom enjoys its own contemporary en-suite shower room boasting a rainfall style shower.

The outside patio/terrace provides plenty of options for soaking up the sunshine or admiring the breath taking views of the countryside from above. Explore Shropshire Hills AONB from your doorstep or spend the day exploring Stiperstones National Nature Reserve - recognised internationally important heathland landscape home to rare wildlife such as red grouse, stonechat and skylarks. After burning off some energy, head out to Shrewsbury town centre for some independent retail therapy or enjoy traditional pub food at Stiperstones Inn located only 150m away from May Cottage itself!

Note:
Both bedrooms are accessed by separate staircases which are narrow compared to modern day standards.
There are no sleeping arrangements on the ground floor.
One well behaved dog is allowed but we must be made aware at the time of booking. (subject to additional £25 cleaning fee)

Wood, kindling, and firelighters are provided between 1st October and 30th April only.

We prioritise the protection of our properties, which is why we have teamed up with Truvi, the foremost guest-screening service for holiday rentals. Truvi will contact the lead guest shortly after making the booking. Prior to the start of your stay, it is necessary to verify your information and ID through Truvi. Additionally, you will have the option to either pay a £350 refundable deposit (subject to a 2% transaction fee) or purchase a £25 non-refundable damage waiver. We recommend opting for the damage waiver, as it offers you protection in the event of accidental damage during your stay.

Access codes will be sent 4 hours before arrival once Truvi is completed.
