Offering a tranquil oasis in the heart of a rural idyll, Water Meadow Cottage near Aldeburgh in Suffolk is the perfect setting for a family holiday or for two couples.
The living areas in the property consist of sitting area, with an open-plan kitchen/diner with a gas oven, four ring gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, a dining room area with seating for six guests, a sitting room with a Smart TV and a woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of one king bedroom, one double bedroom, and a twin bedroom, along with a bathroom. There is parking for two-three cars. Shop 1.8 miles, pub 2.1 miles. Note: The heating and hot water are heated by the wood-burning stove, there is an immersion for hot water in summer, and an electric shower. Note: The property has feather bedding. Note: The stairs are steep, and there are some low doorframes. Note; There is an external plug for EV charging. Town: Saxmundham is a small market town located on the River Fromus, in the heart of Suffolk’s Heritage Coast. The town is well serviced with independent shops, local museum, supermarkets and a train station, as well as art galleries, a weekly market and a farmers’ market. Situated so close to the coast, Saxmundham is a great base for a seaside holiday; within easy reach of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, as well as Dunwich, Southwold and Walberswick, you could enjoy a different coastal location each day. Also close by is the inland market town Framlingham with beautiful historic architecture, a castle and an array of independent shops. South of the town there is the well known tourist destination of Sutton Hoo, an ancient Royal Anglo-Saxon burial site. With Ipswich an easy drive south, and Norwich an easy drive north, there’s so much to see and do in and around Saxmundham.
