Providing a host of modern appliances, this country kitchen is a delight. Delicious home cooked meals can be enjoyed on an evening at the extendable dining table. Take the winding cottage stairs to the first floor and find two very pretty bedrooms. A double with TV and garden views and a super kingsize with a Jack and Jill door to the house bathroom. Beautifully decorated and with luxury soft furnishings both bedrooms offer a zip and link option.
Unusually for an 18th-century cottage the bathroom in Mrs Cracker’s Cottage is spacious providing a bath raised on a plinth where you can enjoy a relaxing soak before turning in for the night. There is also a shower cubicle for that invigorating shower fist thing in the morning, setting you up for the day. A pretty cottage garden awaits outside offering a sunny patio area, with an outdoor dining table and reclining seats allowing you to enjoy al fresco dining from the Webber barbecue provided. A small Astro turf lawn and secluded gravel garden, mature borders packed with summer flowers and mature trees line both sides providing a secluded and private area to enjoy al fresco dining or a lazy day in the summer sun. The surrounding rolling chalk countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds offers miles of walking and cycling opportunities with a host of pretty villages and hamlets to explore. Lund is home to a traditional village pub and a firm favourite with the locals offering tasty hearty pub food and comfortable interiors. Only a 2-mile drive away is a Michelin star restaurant which lies in the beautiful village of South Dalton. Booking early is advised to avoid disappointment.
The market town of Beverley and the ancient, cobbled streets of York are under an hour away. Don’t forget to bring your golf clubs with you as there are a number of golf course within the area. Take a drive to the coast and enjoy the vibrant seaside towns of Hornsea and Bridlington, or further up the coast is the home of Captain James Cook – Whitby. The stately homes of Sledmere House and Gardens, Burton Agnes and Castle Howard are a must visit. Whilst RSPB Bempton Cliffs and the North York Moors National Park are a little further away and Hornsea beach only a 15-mile drive. Making Mrs Cracker’s Cottage the perfect luxury Wolds cottage for your Yorkshire holiday. Beach 20 miles.
